US ambassador: We will give hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to Iraq in 2017
Believer13 » January 22nd, 2017
If I remember correctly. We the USA give them dollars in return they give us dinar in exchange therefore the dollars are in Iraq and we have the dinar which when it RVs will give the USA a substantial return on our investment in Iraq and our deficit crumbles. . Hope this helps

IMO, you have to look at it like a project or the construction project, if you don't finish the building then everything you have completed to date is worthless. you have to see the project through to its conclusion...even if there are cost overruns.

I don't believe it's all about giving out loaning millions as "much as it is military equipment to protect and defend themselves. I for one 'do not want all are soldiers who died in Iraq blood given to go in vain Also if Isis ever did get control of one of the richest countries in the world. Would that not "just in itself be enough. Wouldn't that be part of protecting Americans? The Marshall plan happened in Germany and Japan then Kuwait. It's fixen to happen again very soon.

Regarding the USA being repaid via the Dinar the UST is holding... At $32 (?) per barrel the USA will pay, it will take a while to recover the funds. Additionally I don't understand how this will work. The government is not really in the Oil business? Can someone offer an explanation?

Im thinking the USA will buy the 32 per barrel for a very long time while the retail for oil is up in the high 50s and climbing with minor adjustments. The way the USA will make a profit is, in my opinion, the fact the money is fiat. It has no value, just a numeral. The USD has been debased so many times its pretty much worthless in actual value. This is the reason we as a nation can give away Billions.....its paper. Throw in another billion and all you have lost is the cost of the paper but still create a debt. IMO of course.

Local sources have not yet verified whether the airstrikes were by the Iraqi government or the US-led coalition.
