BALL DROP💯 Week #38

Family and Friends 😝

Hey everybody so New Years was straight Fire 🔥
We had dinner over at brother and sister Callahans and they made Cafe Rio style burritos and they were so yummy. I really miss that place, anyway then we had to head in because we had to be in at 7:30. Kind of lame but I guess it comes with being a missionary. We stayed up and played monopoly and Skip-Bo and ate food and drank some good ole Martinelle sparkling cider🍾. It was a party. I'm excited for the New Year. I remember at the beginning of last year putting in my mission papers. Getting my call in February,  Crazy how time flies. I am excited for the new year and the fresh start to hit the ground running and put in work

Some exciting things are going on as far as missionary work goes. We met with Danielle and she is keeping her commitments and is still preparing to be baptized this coming Saturday. I am super excited for her and the progress she has made. It really is a cool thing to help people and to see the difference in somebody's life....

So the Kinsman's, a family I just love, from Cordova came up to Anchorage this week as part of their family trip for Christmas. So I got to go have lunch with them and visit. It was so much fun it made me really miss Cordova, but was so good to see them. They are such a sweet family.

It's been snowing quite a bit here lately so on top of the low sunlight we have had like straight cloudy days all week, but the skies actually cleared up yesterday and I got to see the sun. Which was cool. My mom got me a happy light for Christmas. For those of you who don't know what that is it's a light that puts off UV rays to help people cope with the low sunlight. This thing has like been my best friend. I literally lay on the couch and just cuddle with it😂😂 honestly can't get enough of it!

This last Wednesday we had Zone Conference and it was really good, but man those meetings are long. Zone Conference last from 10:30 am until about 6:00. It was really good though. I am trying to apply the stuff I learned into my missionary work so hopefully I can get some of the blessings cause I need them;)

Something my mission is trying to push is getting out and OYM, which stands for Opening Your Mouth and just talking with people. The goal is to talk to at least 10 people a day. My companion and I go to the mall and just try to strike up conversations which isn't always easy. Let's just say I've had to embrace the awkward!!

I am having lots of fun in AP Heights and we are already on week 6 of the transfer. We got calls this coming Friday. Can't believe it has already been a transfer. Time really does start to slip. So I'm just living it day by day and having a blast doing so🌅

Anyway I love you guys and hope you had a great New Year celebration!

Love,
