Archaeomusica
The mosaics of Pafos and the Roman music scenes depicted in them were the inspiration for this exhibition. Using multimedia, the exhibition presents musical instruments from the Prehistoric period until antiquity, from the origins, that is, of the European musical tradition. The scenes that the mosaics depict, stemming from musical themes of the Hellenistic and Roman years, will be rendered for the audience as interactive installations with the use of 3D technology. Additionally there will be a presentation of a documentary on music and sounds lost in the course of European history.
