The parasekyi 13/1 trial on appeal arrested for interference in Metropolis Thessaloniki /
Thessaloniki, held in response to the evacuation of three occupations of our city
(Orphanage L.Nikis, Hurriya) and the demolition of one of them, the occupancy housing
immigrants and refugees "Orphanage", which belonged to the Church. ---- These arrests are
in addition to the wave of repression on the part of the state, cops, municipality and
priests evacuating three squats in our city, where the orphanage to demolish, settle our
partners with exemplary sentences and unaffordable fines, arrest solidarity occurring and
not silent forth terrorism exercised by the top, left without shelter dozens of migrants
and refugees, throwing mud on solidarity and the roof structures and the eye close to
fascists follow putting ordnance on Notaras and providing the potential to spring up all
kinds racist committees and dregs (see Oreokastro, Chios) contaminating local communities
putting inclusive and cannibalizing.
The memorable in this case is the fact that despite that the 25 detainees were acquitted
for intervention in Metropolis at first instance, the prosecutor (the same in the trial of
the Orphanage, in which the five captured were sentenced to 10 months imprisonment with
between law and 2,000 euro fine each) lodge an appeal against the judgment at first
instance, which is determined or accelerated procedures for 13/1.
State, priests, judges, mayors and rectors not simply trying to suppress solidarity and to
curb the movement resistances standing beside and struggling together with refugees and
immigrants, but once again show the revenge their apenati the fighters to those who are
dangerous to the draft from above to those not exemplified by the whip.
We Well then we are against the horror and hope and strive. And because we are fighting
love man and choose which side is the side of the powerful, but always by the side of a
targeted, weak.
And yet since we are part of this solidarity was suppressed, since we are close to our
comrades who are persecuted, because we are fighting together with refugees and immigrants
for life and dignity, as we break the racial exclusions and divisions and fight for a
world that will not fit fascists, cops, mayors, priests and all kinds of power, DO nOT
FORGET. And we declare that our solidarity is given and non-negotiable.

We express our deep indignation at the actions of the Works Committee of Solidarity in the
Polish Theatre in Wroclaw. In a few months the conflict crew associated in the Works
Committee of the Workers' Initiative Directorate Theatre authorities Solidarity union
consistently support towards the employer. Ostentatiously withdrew their support of wage
demands on the technical staff, who are members of the committee. In the last phase of the
conflict representatives of Solidarity decided to openly support management. ---- It all
happens in a situation when they are made subsequent wrongful dismissal members of
Workers' Initiative and the team is fighting for the possibility of decent working
conditions and preservation of long-term artistic achievements.
The last act of this embarrassing spectacle of loyalty to the employer was to organize a
referendum imitation of the strike. Without retaining any of democratic standards in the
vote asked for support for the director. It all happened at the historic logo of solidarity.
This is not the first such action, which we observe with growing horror. Rather than
support the workers in the struggle for decent work Solidarity committees are on the side
of the bosses, taking further initiatives to discredit the idea of the union movement.
With these actions we had to do, among others, Amazon's warehouses, Poznan Plant HCP and
Arsenal Gallery.
We are fully aware of the fact that these situations often happen without the knowledge of
rank and file union members and are responsible for not managements committee guided by
suicidal loyalty to employers.
We call on the authorities of the Solidarity Trade Union to take a stand against the
events described. Currently, the ability to organize in trade unions and defend their
basic rights is still contested by employers and their lobbyists. Legally entitled to
strike has been restricted to an extent that several years ago would have been
unthinkable. Labour laws are often only record on paper, which no one is able to enforce.
In this situation, the behavior of employee loyalty in the face of conflict, regardless of
group affiliation is, according to us it's indisputable.

"Besides the law of Mutual Struggle there is in Nature the law of Mutual Aid, which, for
the success of the struggle for life, and especially for the progressive evolution of the
species, is far more important than the law of mutual contest" - Peter Kropotkin --
"Disasters, while producing undeniable misery, also bring to the fore the latent power of
reciprocity, which always remains submerged, fractured and inchoate in the capitalist
world of exchange. In this way, the kind of improvised, spontaneous mutual aid which
characterises disaster communities points to latent potentials for radical social change."
- Out of the Woods -- Mutual Aid is a key principle of anarchist theory. The belief,
backed by much evolutionary, psychological and sociological research, that humans are
naturally cooperative and that this tendency can, and must, be the basis of our social
struggle and future society.
Far from a hellish war of all against all, the absence of capitalism and the state often
produces the conditions for solidarity and collaboration. Disasters, natural or political,
are dreadful and we do not wish them, but even in the worst conditions we should not despair.
We'll discuss the history of mutual aid as an idea, the relation to disasters and people's
natural response to them, and what we can practically do right now for survival pending
revolution.
Free and all welcome.

Protests were held across Ireland against Housing Minister Simon Coveney today after he
backed out of pledges to provide accommodation for Dublin's homeless population in
exchange for the ending of a popular occupation of Apollo House. ---- Irish anarchist
organisation the Workers Solidarity Movement (WSM) hit out at "the landlord's TD" as
rallies took place in Dublin and seven other towns and cities over Coveney's failure to
properly rehouse homeless people currently being supported at the building. ---- The
squat, which was opened by the Home Sweet Home campaign in December and has been backed by
a succession of celebrity voices, has aimed to provide for some of Ireland's 6,500
"officially homeless" people while putting pressure on the Dáil to open up funding.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsoX73Y5o-Y
The occupiers were taken to court to evict, but pledged to stand firm until concessions
had been made, and on January 4th Coveney agreed to secure placements for everyone in the
building - as well as spending €4 million on two new facilities for homeless people in the
capital.
A few days later however the High Court issued an injunction to evict, and last night it
emerged that Coveney has failed to deliver on the terms he agreed. In a statement, WSM said:
Protests are taking place outside Apollo house and across the country in response to this
betrayal.
Like many other TDs Coveney is a landlord, we know he earns at least 2600 a month from
landlordism - it could be a lot more, TDs are only required to declare that there are
landlords if they earn more than that figure, they are not required to say how much more.
For landlords homelessness plays an essential role in keeping tenants in a state of
insecurity and fear, it makes us feel we have no other choice but to pay rent increases.
With a lot of the bottom end of rented accommodation being overcrowded and substandard
such landlords have a strong interest in making emergency homeless accommodation as
unpleasant as possible. The sight of people sleeping in doorways keeps their tenants
paying. Likewise banks who sold people mortgages that are now almost impossible to pay
have a strong interest in maximising the fear of eviction.
Neither group could have liked the deal Coveney agreed to, as it threatened to create a
floor below which the homeless wouldn't fall and that might reduce that fear factor. So
it's not that surprising that when the minister returned from the discussion he came under
pressure from that sector to tear up what had been agreed.
In its own statement, Home Sweet Home explained:
Eight residents have been forced to return to Apollo House after being offered
sub-standard accommodation by Dublin City Council with one man given a bedroom with blood
on the walls, mattress and sink as well as syringes on the ground.
Other residents have reported threats of violence, no food available, no washing machine
available and of other residents in the accommodation they were offered getting drunk
injecting and smoking heroin in rooms. One reported hearing a gang threatening to stomp
another resident soon. These kinds of deplorable conditions are what forced the residents
to sleep rough on the streets in the first place instead of going to existing shelters.
The HSH campaign has set a minimum standard for the quality of accommodation provided to
homeless people and the movement will not accept these inhumane conditions. These minimum
standards are focused around the residents' specific individual needs being met, both when
they immediately enter the service, and in the long term.
Today Home Sweet Home return to the High Court which has issued an injunction against the
occupation. As we revealed at the time of the court case the High Court has issued
multiple ‘eviction by injunctions' against large occupied buildings over the last two
years and on the day of that case all of these building were still lying vacant. (video)
In advance of the case the campaigners say "Home Sweet Home will, as per the agreement,
only leave when the residents' immediate needs have been met. The needs of the residents
as of this evening have not been met, and only when they have been met will the residents
and Home Sweet Home be leaving Apollo House. If you can't join us at 11am in Dublin there
are 7 other national rallies to support the HSH movement Wednesday"
