Update 2 Solidarity statement for the 2 Basques and the 2 refugees arrested yesterday in Igoumenitsa, Greece

They accuse them for "putting refugees' lives into danger" because traveling in a caravan is not safe!!!

Some years ago Igoumenitsa police and local vigilantes were using hunting dogs to chase migrants out of Igoumenitsa forest, were a "jungle" existed until 2011 (Greek police evicted it by throwing tear gas in the forest)...

...not to mention the "strange death" of Arivan Osman in 2009, who died after hitting his head on the ground "himself", while in custody by Igoumenitsa Port Police,

...or the Iraqis that were shot by a Golden Dawn member and Gas Station owner outside Igoumenitsa in November 2010 (he spotted them getting out of a truck, he chased them with his car, shot on them and injured two migrants) - his trial has not taken place yet...

...and they charge the two comrades for "putting refugees' lives into danger"!!!

P.S. tomorrow morning there will be a solidarity protest outside Igoumenitsa courthouse (11.30).
