UK must stop selling weapons to Saudi Arabia! Sign Now Dear friends, Yemen's war has devastated tens of thousands of lives through displacement, injury and death. The elderly lady pictured above has been sleeping in the open at a refugee camp since fleeing Yemen with her family of 14 following an attack by Saudi Arabian forces near her village. The Saudi Arabian regime is committing war crimes in Yemen with its indiscriminate bombing of civilians. And yet the UK government continues to enable these vast human rights abuses. Saudi Arabia is currently the UK's largest arms export market. We are calling on the UK government to cease its support for the Saudi Arabian regime by ending arms sales. While some ministers claim that this military cooperation is only intended to support Saudi Arabia's right to self-defense, this logic makes no sense. The reason the British government does not also arm Iran or North Korea is that arms sales are inescapably an expression of political support and commitment to regime survival. The UK government should sever its support for a Saudi state that violates human rights and fundamental freedoms, at home and abroad.
