If the analysis shows that a low unemployment rate, it is not far from a no win, when the
character work is what it is. Download, print and circulate the December issue of wall
newspapers A3. ---- Czech December has the lowest unemployment in the EU, 3.8 percent.
They came to the experts. Analyzed, proving He analyzed and preparovali, wrote them down,
but also slashed, all his strength to sacrifice, and when it ended, understand what could
their analysis. The state administration has calculated that unemployment had hit on its
"natural" boundary could not be any lower. Employers calculate that they can not get
another workhorse among local citizens to get a solution that would be a more tractable
slaves outside. Department statistics for market drudgery calculated that reduced the
number of employers and favorable numbers arise due to small entrepreneurs who exploit
only themselves. Media experts dusted earlier calculations and know that "at the turn of
the year there - as usual - a slight increase in unemployment."

The question remains, what about the 366,244 registered unemployed. The solution came from
above: subsidies from European funds. They will be used to resolve the situation of those
who make up a great percentage of Europe's lowest: for them because they recruited new
officers at labor offices. Already here they will not leak or svacinárky. More EU money
for our state employment means there will be more supervision on the unemployed,
strengthen their checking, and will pay them less benefits (which is now needed more
officials).

It's pleasantly realistic approach and can be expected to achieve its objectives. Indeed,
if the political and bureaucratic elite claimed that improve real living conditions in the
country, maybe even a hardcore optimists would have hesitated whether to believe her.
After all, the mass media writes that "despite increasingly higher wages can buy only 57
percent of what the average European." Additionally optimistic about pleasing or
statistical finding that the average wage in our country is growing faster than in
Germany. More weight for him may have another tough statistic according to which the
purchasing power rankings Germany 9th, Czech 26th, and before him are not only advanced
western capitalist countries, but also those same early capitalist who is on a map They
are looking to our right.

Although not directly ourselves, so at least someone from our neighborhood is not the work
of just one, but two, and three. This is a reason to rejoice? Hardly, if we look at it,
what jobs are. We need not even bother his head much, we asked ourselves, how is it that
some can not come from one's salary. The question before us reveals a wide area, called
the "working poverty". Makau what it is, but he still pat on the spot or if you through no
amount of sweat and calluses tightens the noose around the neck of debt.

And it's still just thinking about the valuation of our toil and did not ask if this is
really what has to fulfill our lives. Indeed, our lives just a cesspool, which has filled
drudgery, bending ridges, bossing the bosses, uncertain salary, recalculate each crown,
fatigue, nasranost ...? A patch is really enough booze, waiting for retirement, full
shelves of hypermarkets or select from a wide range of programs on television advertising
punctuated by pauses?

What are our data on the decline in unemployment, when we know that the work itself is
worth just enough for two things? We have it, perhaps so happy that we wake up every day
with anticipation when he rings the alarm? Maybe those few lucky ones among us. How is it
that pisses us therefore, as something that is making a virtue? Part of the modern
morality had become a belief that all work is good in itself. The fact convince us
especially those who benefit from the work of others. And make no mistake, it's not those
poor wretches who are ashamed go for a pittance in unemployment. It is those alleged
benefactors who give us jobs condescending. For our fucking lives up their profits.

Mainly that analysts have brought good news. Let us rejoice. Only staunch grouch, he needs
to pay the rent, electricity, heating, food, boots and jacket, truthfully answer the
question, what could their analysis: analysis could shit.

The experience of "Bolivarian socialism," Chavez first and then with Maduro, has been
greeted with enthusiasm by much of the left. Bankruptcy marks the further defeat of the
Marxist hypothesis. The interest in what was happening in Venezuela came to me in 2005,
when the Chavez government, adopting a socialist vision, raises the sympathy of much of
the radical left. I remember articles edge-Marxist newspapers extolling the popular
reforms and a talk at a local Communist Refoundation (heiress Leninist Communist Party of
Italy) in which there was talk of "revolution" and promised popular emancipation. I went
to Venezuela several times between 2006 and 2014 to understand what was happening beyond
the rhetoric ideologically aligned for or against. ---- After a decade of my first trip in
Venezuela tails are made to get food. Medical treatments suffer from a prolonged shortage
of basic drugs, including antibiotics. Electricity is available only a few hours a day.
The homicide rate continues to rise and is now among the highest in the world. The
population is angry. The electoral support given to Chavez and his reforms since 1998 has
been dramatically interrupted in December 2014 when the parliamentary elections has
consolidated the opposition front (which has many leftists).

Now the country is struggling with an institutional quagmire due to the cohabitation of a
Chavista President (Nicolas Maduro, successor to Chavez, who died in 2013) and a
parliament in the hands of the opposition in a context of partisanship very strong, and
now consolidated more than ever. In a country where many people own weapons, it is
possible that the conflict between Chavez and opposition becomes increasingly armed
conflict with unpredictable consequences. The rhetoric of socialism via South America,
open, pluralistic, democratic, experimental lasted the period in which the oil revenue has
made it possible. The dream has faded in a few months when the price of oil, which
constitutes 95 percent of Venezuelan exports and that governs much of the domestic
consumption has fallen from $ 100 a barrel in June 2014 30-60 the last two years. The
bombastic revolutionary rhetoric is empty propaganda, against the umpteenth disaster
Marxist state.

The fall of the XXI century socialism in Venezuela has its peculiarities, but at the same
time seems to bankruptcies of leftist regimes of the last century. Worth reasoning about
why the umpteenth "revolution" failed. Venezuelan dynamics deteriorated progressively,
especially when, between 2005 and 2007, the government decided emphasize centralism,
reducing the diversified alliance that supported Chavez in a single party, the PSUV
(United Socialist Party of Venezuela), dyed red and aligned in a choreography and a
socialist rhetoric.

Participatory democracy?

Among the most interesting policies promoted by Chavez are those aimed at promoting
participatory democracy. Community Councils (CC) are neighborhood assemblies comprising,
in the urban context, between 200 and 400 families constitute political subject. They are
planned forms of coordination of CC, called Communes, which are not yet operational. The
Constitution of the CC was left to the community; the supreme decisive organ was the
citizens' assembly and participation in the meeting was open to residents over 15 years.
These bodies have been inserted into legalization and bureaucratization of participatory
democracy that has provided guidance and approval by state institutions: they should
record the decisions, encode the minutes of the meetings, constitute a financial body for
the subsidies. Constituted in 2005, and in 2009 the CC had become, increasingly explicitly
channels for political proselytizing of the PSUV. Progressively, citizen participation has
decreased, while corruption and personal appropriation of community resources have been
increasing. In my area of research, about half the CC was paralyzed in 2014 by errors of
form or financial.

The lesson is that participatory democracy, to be consistent with its approach, should be
developed outside of political institutions. State control over direct democracy means
inhibit creativity and experimentation, sacrificed to bureaucratic homogeneous coding;
transfer means partisan conflict within the community organization; means predispose
autonomous political subjectivity born as a clientelist cooptation in the party system.
Most researchers who have dealt with the phenomenon recognizes that social movements under
Chavez have been strengthened in their independence but, on the contrary, bridled,
sponsored and centralized.

Autogestión or welfarism

The increase community tensions (shoplifting, opposing factions, competition between ward
leaders) is largely due to the decision to extend consistent public subsidies CC,
transforming the asamblearia democracy in a mock participation aimed at getting state
subsidies. Even expropriated hundred companies, many cooperatives-ghost, the many social
movements have been emptied of content, stimulated and controlled by public money. For all
these emerging social agents of the base, the first concern was not "do" but credited to
the government to get a piece of the huge oil revenues (the most often benefit mainly the
leader of the organization). The popular sensitivity of Chavismo has resulted in welfare
policies: distributed at ridiculous prices food subsidies to categories disadvantaged
(whom it passes itself off as such), distribution of goods among the faithful voters, rain
of money at election time . The popular classes have truly benefited in terms of capacity
consumption and supply of subsidized services, but this more than encouraging
self-management and self-production, the inhibited. The entrepreneurial spirit has been
destroyed by imports of goods paid with oil revenues, and assigned according to
clientelist chains. Who will produce chickens by hand to the market if the state buys
industrial chickens in Brazil and distributes them at a subsidized price a few cents? More
than the weary way to use oil income to constitute a local or national autonomy (reinforce
electricity generation, manufacturing of drugs, the ability to extract oil without having
to delegate operations to multinationals), the PSUV has preferred road of easy conquest of
consensus changing their oil by consumer goods to distribute among voters in poor
neighborhoods.

The lesson is that a leftist party consensus can buy, win elections, give benefits to the
working classes; but this undermines political and productive autonomy. Being part of the
"people" does not mean centralizing the resources to then distribute them strategically in
order to satisfy the hedonistic desires and then at election time, ask for the vote to
those who have benefited. Self-management is a practical alternative to Marxist welfarism
because it is based on responsibility and independence both individually and collectively,
on an asset do rather than on an induced passivity. For autonomous political subjects,
public money is a poisoned gift that creates dependency.

The illusion of good leader

As the degree of corruption and political conservatism of the Chavistas has been
highlighting the most radical sectors of the bases, rather than criticize the state
architecture, they have claimed supporters of the president. Militants neighborhood
recognized that the revolution was taking an ugly turn, but in a context in which the
levers of power were detentados, both locally and nationally, by the leaders of the
party-government, hopes for a revolutionary turn were entrusted a prompt to Chavez. It did
not happen and would not have happened even if Chavez had not died.

The idea of a good leader, near the town, guarantor of the revolution, representing the
interests of those in need, is a recurring fictional Marxist tradition. It has generated
uncritical glorification of increasingly mummified leaders and lack of recognition of the
ability of self-determination of the variety subjective that make up the social body. The
apex of the chain of command, which in Marxism invariably takes the form of enlightened
boss, sanctified, deified, is invariably one of the causes of the failure of the
revolutionary push rather than strengthening it.

Overcoming the centralization of power

It is worthwhile reason with communists who still espouses views on the recurrent failures
of red revolutions. It could be argued with reason that neither has ever done anarchist
ideology in a context of complex modern society. If we make history, no doubt anarchism
and Marxism have trajectories and different destinations.

In recent European history, the contexts in which said a libertarian practice (I think of
the Paris Commune of 1871, and in Spain, 1936) and have been transformed into dictatorship
nor have exploited internally but have been repressed, like many of the countless
expressions of partnership with distributed power that have characterized the history of
mankind. History anarchists poses the question of how to defend the libertarian praxis of
military repression. Contemporary Venezuela is the umpteenth example of the contradictions
and internal inconsistencies of Marxism fact state that would be worth avoiding in the future.

If Marxists believe in equality and self-management from below, history teaches us that
the project is incompatible with centralized forms of power and the exercise of
institutional monopoly sovereignty, in a word, with the State. Some trends in contemporary
Marxism are slowly becoming aware of the incompatibility of the stated aims of communism
with classical instruments on the left: the revolutionary vanguard, taking power, the
dictatorship of the proletariat.

Overcoming the desire to support Marxist centralization presidents, states, parties, allow
the recognition of some organizational affinities between communists and anarchists, at a
time when it seems urgent look really consolidated against a power bloc alliances
state-Empresarial financial being increasingly arrogant, oppressive and violent.

via peter marshall: London, UK. 8th December 2016. Ian Bone of Class War speaks at their
second protest against Zaha Hadid Architects director Patrik Schumacher who suggested
solving London's housing crisis by getting rid of regulations, privatising all public
space and scrapping social housing. ---- They say this would be a fascist social cleansing
of the city which would force out the working class and abandon it to the wealthy. ----
Schumacher's ideas have been widely disowned by the architectural profession and the
protesters demand he resign; he apparently left the building as the protesters arrived
shortly before I got there but ran off down the road when challenged and asked to discuss
the issues with the protesters. ---- More photos to come from Peter Marshall/Alamy Live
