THE WARMTH OF JESUS’ LOVE
What made Zacchaeus in today’s Gospel open-up? - the warmth of Jesus’ love. The people hated Zacchaeus and more they hated him, the more adamant he became. Jesus walked in to his house and there the hard man stood melted promising a virtuous life ahead. What would you do if Jesus knocked on your door and said, “I must stay at your house today”? Would you be excited or embarrassed? The Lord is always ready to make his home with us. Do you make room for him in your heart and in your home?
Prayer: Fill my home with your presence, O Lord, Help me to show kindness and mercy to all, even to those who cause me harm. Amen.
