THE FAITHFUL SERVANT!

Everything that we have, even our lives are a free gift from God and as his creatures we totally belong to him. Our energy, time and possessions are the properties of God and we must spend these properties for his glory and praise. As Jesus came “not to be served but to serve”, we must consider ourselves too as humble servants of God, and service towards God and neighbor should be a free act. Whatever reward we receive will be one of grace and not merit; and at the end of time to the dutiful and faithful servants the Lord will say: “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Mt 25:21)

Prayer: Lord, help me to remain humble so that I may serve You and my neighbour without expecting any reward. Amen.
