The CORRECT Way to Fight Corruption in Africa - @ayittey

George Ayittey writes:
To fight corruption effectively in Africa, one does not need new committees, councils or commissions set up by the president. It creates the FALSE impression that presidential leadership is needed to fight corruption. Mechanisms already exist to fight against corruption and should be allowed to operate, regardless of who the president is. In fact, the president shouldn’t come anywhere near this campaign, let alone become involved in it. What if the president himself is a bandit, as was the case in Nigeria (Abacha) or Kenya (Moi)? Fancy this in Liberia http://goo.gl/qO4MPu and in Nigeria https://goo.gl/MIaj3 Here is the correct way to fight corruption in Africa.
