Archaeologists have discovered a Roman bath house dating back to the 2nd century in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv. The newly discovered Roman thermae boasts “impressive architecture" with marble floors and a swimming pool. The floor and the walls of the thermae were heated by a system of warm air circulating between masonsry columns and bricks, called a hypocaust.
