BEING PRODUCTIVE FOR THE KINGDOM!
In today’s Gospel parable, when the King returned, he required a personal accounting from each of his servants. In the same way, we will all give an account to the King on how well we managed the resources we are given. Among the Jews of the line of the Pharisees, some imagined God as a severe judge who treated them according to the merit gained by the observance. That caused fear and prevented persons from growing. And above all, it prevented them from opening themselves to accept the new experience of God which Jesus communicated. How about you and me? How have we used the gifts God has given us? Will we betray his trust?
Prayer: Father, thank You for trusting me with gifts and opportunities that come directly from Your hand. Help me to learn how I can be most productive for Your Kingdom. Amen
