The men I know (and trust)--and there are many--don't call women pigs, dogs, bitches, slobs, or "it."
They don't talk about "grabbing" women "by the pussy," trying to fuck them whether they like it or not, kissing them "without even waiting" or moving on them "like a bitch."
Maybe they do all that shit in private, amongst themselves. Who knows. Of course I can't know for sure. But I don't believe it. Not for a minute. Not these men. No way.
The men I know and trust support their partners in their careers.
They listen to women as intellectual equals and respect their opinions. They neither put women on a pedestal, nor put them down.
They share household and parenting responsibilities willingly and without insecurity or resentment.
They have never hit a woman, and they never would. No matter how angry they get.
They aren't threatened by homosexuality, and they don't allow their masculinity to be threatened by a woman's failure to acquiesce to their sexual advances.
Because they know instinctively when those advances are welcome and when they aren't. They appreciate a woman's body in its natural state and on its owner's terms.
Sure they've been to strip clubs and bachelor parties. But they feel weird about it. They know the "dancers" are fellow human beings. They wonder how they got here.
The men I know have sons and daughters whom they're raising to be autonomous, good human beings who respect their fellow human beings' minds and bodies.
Here's to those men, and there are a lot of them out there. I really believe that.
