Red Car Property: Documenting One Formerly Beautiful Native Tree For 16 Years

Photo: Diane Edwardson, May 21, 2016.  Earlier this year, the protected native Black Walnut across from the Adelbert cut-through was putting out lots of new growth close to the trunk and large branches.  We've used this one tree to illustrate the effects of the prolonged drought on even trees that evolved with our drought/deluge hillside ecosystem.
