On Monday, August 5, 2013, the State vacated three occupied spaces in Patras. - The
historical conquest Annex downtown that is inseparable from the social and class struggles
of the local community since November 1973 and has become a point of reference for
thousands of resisting and insurgents over the years, the seizure of Maragkopouleiou
Street Gounaris and occupation N. Gizis 33 - self haunt TEI Patras. - From inside the busy
Maragkopouleiou arrested five comrades facing charges of domestic peace disturbance and
the prominent damage, breach of the law on weapons and refmatoklopis. ---- Their trial is
set for Tuesday, October 25 in the courts of Patras. ---- This operation was the
culmination of a repressive attack of the state against the world of the match in Patras
and joined to the overall design of a nationwide crackdown on resistance areas and
struggle unfolded in several cities in previous years. The main objective was to give a
decisive blow to the structures and infrastructure of the competitive movement, and thus
be eliminated material and moral anarchist / anti-authoritarian movement that was at the
forefront of social and class resistance that occurred in previous years against slavery
and misery that imposed the state and bosses in cooperation with international antisocial
organizations (IMF, EU, ECB). At a time of sharpening of social and class war key concern
of the state was to intensify the Status of Emergency and consolidate the doctrine of zero
tolerance against militant parts of society fighting against the domination and the
violent onslaught of on our lives.
The areas of social and class of resistance, into which develops solidarity, reciprocity,
self-organization, companionship, political fermentation, life is ultimately the same, is
not just some facades. We never realized them as such. The state can seal them, demolish
or leave them to devastate them. In no way we can not seal our ideas. To halt the race for
life and freedom. As anarchists we stand in solidarity with the persecuted comrades, like
every fighter and space of movement that is targeted by the state repression, realizing
that the attack on one of us is an attack on all of us and as such should be answered
collectively and decisively.
SOLIDARITY FOR 5 DIOKOMENOUS occupant MARAGKOPOULEIOU
arrested during the evacuation of the state on August 5, 13, in a coordinated crackdown
all occupied spaces match in Patras.

The morning of the third 18/10 intervened in radio station "in the red" in Thessaloniki
and read our text on the question of a 'home auctions and also invited to participate in
the world in concentration against auctions on wednesday 19/10 in 15.30. ---- the text
read: ---- Concentration against auctions | TO FINISH THE AUCTIONS OR OTHERWISE OUR steals
LIFE, we will resist ---- In a period of general economic and humanitarian crisis, once
violated labor rights and acquired years that salaries and pensions decrease rapidly and
unemployment is touching red, the bulk of society living in poverty and misery, thousands
of people crammed into detention centers - "accommodation" in appalling living conditions,
the SYRIZA-ANEL government in cooperation with banks and always under the supervision of
European institutions, proceeds of auctioning a 'residence ,.
It is truly remarkable the fact that what no previous governments have managed to sign the
first two memoranda, now comes the leftist government to realize and even in the midst of
a mismatch social peace and consensus.
Given the economic and working conditions prevailing in the country and the standard of
living, which are progressively shrinking, and the vast percentage of home ownership in
Greece, met easily all the conditions set by law Katseli to facilitate the banks' work and
n 'grab the houses of the world.
The first auction attempt first house shows all the vulgarity of the government and of
this law, as regards individual diagnosed with high disability rate that fails to work.
However, this does not tell us anything, because we believe the housing basic social need
and will fight to not lose no man's house by banks.
The right to primary residence is not a matter of luxury but biotic need. The complete
hypocrisy of the government culminates once raised the mask of the welfare state, but at
the same time criminalizing the ownership of empty spaces and homes. Bind the property of
the people, creating armies of homeless people will be forced Being on the road with their
children or themselves to find solutions to meet their need for housing.
We, as anarchists / s perceive housing as indisputable social and basic need and to those
who will try to to deprive any man, we say this: You will find us to you! We will not
allow to pass into the hands of banks anyone home.
Against new and old understandings, against local and international masters To dismantle
capitalism and to rebuild their lives, with key components of social solidarity,
cooperation, self-organization. To take back all the stolen wealth, give the factories to
the workers, the services to return to the public sphere, in society that will supervise
them. To get around the ecclesiastical wealth and use it for our needs. To give life to
empty houses and to realize the free life as we think in them. To sustain each other, to
cook together, to feed them all, do not let any misanthropic being, no "political leader"
divide us, talking together in a direct way, geitonia- neighborhood to meet and get to
know our needs, to find together ways to cover them with justice and equality. Do what is
our plan. A design that has remained the only one that does not lead to more misery in war
and bloodshed. It is not easy and we will fight any government, the police, the army. But
we will win because we have right on our side, we have the consciousness of the people on
our side. And that is all you have. And it is enough.
We call for the exclusion of the Peace Thessaloniki to assert that we are entitled, of our
homes! We call the whole world of struggle, the collectives, the neighborhood assemblies,
the base unions, student figures to march with us and no home is not found at banker hands
or any other state apparatus. All along, natives and immigrants, workers or not, To combat
the looting of our lives and to give his life in our hands. All together for a society of
equality, solidarity, freedom.
Challenger THE RIGHT TO HOUSING. Disputes PART THEREOF.
TO FINISH THE AUCTIONS. Take OUR LIVES ON IN OUR HANDS.

It's 2008, Viyan 18 years. It is shepherdess in a Kurdish village in the region of Ayn
al-Arab - but then Ain al-Arab, its name in Arabic, because the Kurdish language is banned
under the regime of Assad. Viyan deposited beside the bed of his mother's jewelry box. It
does this quietly, not to wake her. Tonight she will join the guerrillas. She said nothing
to anyone, neither his mother nor his sisters, nor his brother who is head of the family
office. His brother, precisely, wanted her to marry one of her cousins while Viyan has
other desires: to learn, to fight for his people to be free. ---- His departure is
incredible. A couple comes to get in a van with another girl from his village. Hardly have
they traveled a few kilometers that the brother of Viyan appears on his motorcycle and
chases them. The girl asks: if he catches up, it's over, it will never become a fighter,
she will never be free. Fortunately, the bike disappears ina corner, and rickety van
continues on his way, sinking into darkness. To his family, Viyan has been removed; but
the next day, militiamen come to tell them the truth: their daughter joined the maquis.
Paradox of the Kurdish countryside where burns the desire for autonomy, but when families
are ready to fight to prevent their daughters joining the fight.
After winning the PKK camps in the Qandil Mountains in Iraq, Viyan never cease to fight.
Against itself first, to support training and awareness of its responsibility; if it
fails, his comrades can leave their lives. Against Assad, and all the rulers of the
region. Daech against that threatens to exterminate and destroy a hard-won freedom.
Against the mentality of Arab militias allied with the Kurds but reluctant to arm women.
This story is Viyan which itself tells the journalist Pascale Bourgaux, author of the
documentary Women against Daech. Despite a French publisher who has largely given to
sensationalism (racoleur headband, faux suspense to keep the audience in suspense),
despite a drawn text on more than 200 pages when he could easily held in 100, despite all
this, the testimony is exciting.
Discover the daily life of Kurdish peasants, organizing militias where we both learned to
fire a Kalashnikov than the alphabet and writing, the war against Daech day to day, the
terrible ordeal of the battle of Ayn al-Arab ... the European readers will be surprised
that the YPG-YPJ militias possess a unique command system probably in the world: each
officer position is occupied by both a man and a woman, the man has not the right to give
orders to the women of his unit while the woman can give orders to all combatants.
Me, Viyan ... is above all a human story. Here, no political analysis of the orientation
of the PYD or geopolitical considerations on Rojava. Viyan speaks trials, joys, everything
that makes this fight a fight of beings of flesh and bone. It also shows the facets of his
personality or the Kurdish cause that may shock our latitudes: the cult of personality of
Abdullah Öcalan, the philosophy martyrdom and sacrifice in the fight against Daech a
little quick overview of the Kurdish ideology as "Marxist-Leninist" strict repression of
romantic relationships in the militia, etc.
Closing the book, one is struck with a double sense: humble solidarity for the courage and
the fighting Kurdish fighters on one hand; renewed questioning on their social project.

pantomime of parliament has never been livelier! In our opinion far too much attention has
already been paid to the political manoeuvring of our so-called leaders, across untold
pages of papers and websites. We've spelled out our own position very clearly in previous
copies of Resistance, and recommend you pick up those if you want to see yet more pictures
of politicians. For this issue we instead put the focus where it belongs, on grass roots
struggle - on the strikes, occupations and protests that are winning real change for
workers across the UK and beyond. It is these actions that win real concessions for
ordinary people. The politicians only ever play catch up. If they're offering us something
good, it's usually only out of fear we're going to take something better if they don't!
If, like us, you don't trust any political party further than you can throw it, these
pages should serve as a how-to guide for causing trouble and scoring victories by standing
together rather than looking to the higher power of parliament.

Building of the separation wall with Serbia, biased referendum on the issue of refugee-es,
nationalist escalation in speeches, racist poster campaign ... In the country of Viktor
Orbán, and more broadly in Eastern Europe, racist anti-immigrant offensive is becoming
more and more worrying. ---- Hungary is definitely not a haven for refugees come-es-es of
the Middle East or Africa. Viktor Orbán always goes further in his denunciation of
migration quotas within the European Union 1 and immigration in general. He also turned a
corner this summer, assuming both the most complotistes theories and that of the "great
replacement". One can find a decisive stage of this new development in his speech on the
occasion of the national holiday of March 15: "It is forbidden us to say that in Brussels,
they are looking for ways to send more foreign quickly as possible to install here. We are
forbidden to say that the purpose of the settlement is to redraw the religious and
cultural map of Europe, to undermine ethnic bases and eliminate the nation states, which
are the last obstacles this International. " It stinks like Soral: interesting to see the
similarities between hard lines to power in some countries in Europe and the wildest
assertions from identity environments reach impressive heights.
identity project to power
The problem is that in Hungary - even if the political roots of Fidesz, the ruling party,
are to be sought in the political and economic liberalism of the 1980s - the nationalist
project, now even outright identity, in power and not just in smoky spirits radical
circles. Now this government is able to do things. For example, since the beginning of
2016, of the 25 000 asylum applications filed, only 250 persons were granted refugee
status-e. In the summer of 2015, the government had erected at the Serbian border a 175km
wall. And today it is preparing to build a second, to strengthen: "If it does not work
with beautiful words, we must stop them by force, and we will," bawls Hungarian Prime
Minister ( quoted by Reuters). Some 47 000 police officers are permanently deployed along
the wall.
Why so hard? Orbán is not currently at the peak of his fame. He is challenged by some
sectors of the population, in the context of sometimes scale social movements (see box).
The stock of possible populist reforms runs out, and put it before Brexit contradictions
facing liberal Europe: so far, he could denounce body and cries, but now that the release
of the EU is in a more concrete date, when asked if he would like for Hungary, it is
transformed in a significant silence of the deep commitment of the regime to liberal
capitalism. Maintaining a strong antimigrants propaganda is an appropriate solution to
allow the plan to get out of its contradictions.
This is the way to understand all the commotion combat implemented by the government
against immigration quotas, which translates to a referendum to be held on October 2 in
the purest tradition of authoritarian Caesarism. The question is: "Do you agree that the
EU could order the installation in Hungary, on a mandatory, non-Hungarian nationals
without the consent of the National Assembly? " Note the neutrality with which it is put.
This referendum is articulated in a government propaganda in the wake of that of last
year, with a new display campaign on the theme: "Did you know? ". And the information
disclosed on these posters are: "These are immigrants who committed the attack in Paris";
"Nearly a million migrants want to come to Europe from Libya alone"; or "Since the
beginning of the migration crisis, the number of harassment against women in Europe has
increased considerably." Also in this campaign, the government takes up the delirium of
Islamophobic American writer Robert Spencer on "no-go areas", by drawing up a map of
Europe, described in these terms on the government website: " the spaces called "no-go
areas" are urban districts, the authorities are unable or have difficulty, to keep under
their control. There, written or unwritten norms of the host society are struggling to
win. In European cities which have sizeable immigrant communities, there are over a
hundred "no-gone zones" of this type. "
The problem is that we can not take Hungary Orbán for an isolated case. Construction of
fascist regimes is something progressive, and the convergence of the toughest extreme
right and the government parties is an indication of this construction in several European
countries. In Eastern Europe, an informal coalition of four countries, the "Visegrad Four"
(Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia) is headwind against the reception of
migrants and migrant since summer 2015. There one year, Robert Fico, chairman of the
Slovak government formed by the social democracy, declared to want to get that Christian
migrants, while it still August 23, the head of the Czech government, Bohuslav Sobotka,
was against the constitution of a "strong Muslim community" in his country. And it is
clear that this phenomenon progresses throughout Europe beyond the countries of the East.

Anarchists in Derry took part in today's anti war demonstration at the city centre war
memorial as we have done many times before with a clear anarchist message 'No War But The
Class War!' ---- All of the speakers quite rightly condemned the continuing atrocities
being inflicted upon the people of Syria and the entire Middle East, and the ongoing
humanitarian crisis not witnessed on this scale in decades. ---- Twenty-four hour media
manipulation on both sides of the propaganda war has deliberately created mass confusion
as to who the real perpetrators truly are as Russia, Europe and United States attempt to
gain the high moral ground while thousands are killed, millions left without homes and
entire communities devastated. ---- Their unofficial policy of endless war and
destabilization is an attempt to divert the world's working class into the dead-end of
supporting their "own" states in the name of "civilisation", the same civilisation that
allows 25,000 children to die every day from malnutrition and preventable diseases. All
countries involved are attempting to reignite the flames of nationalism to divert
attention away from the crisis of capitalism at home in their own national interests.
Amongst this confusion and chaos elements of the Left have already chosen one side against
in bizarre scenes reminiscent of old Cold War battles, as if old scores need settled. For
anarchists we make no such alliances. We are anti-imperialist and opposed to the continous
wars orchestrated throughout the Middle East between Russia, USA and of course Europe.
Obama and Putin are terrorists, butchers and murderers, no less than their puppets
al-Assad or Islamic State. They are all the enemies of working people. As working-class
internationalists, we oppose this war and all other imperialist wars, and raise the slogan
NO WAR BUT CLASS WAR!
Here in Ireland we must not fall into the trap of hopelessness which many are overcome by
through television propaganda fuelled by BBC, RT, FOX, SKY, CNN or RTE. Confusion and
demoralisation by relentless images of war, devastation and death can take its toll but
small acts of solidarity action on the streets can make an impact.
Anti War actions such as today's in Derry are important to highlight issues such as
Refuelling at Shannon, Palestine, Kurdistan or Refugee solidarity. Acting locally and
linking nationally and internationally can create a strong and effective anti-war movement.
As anarchists, ultimately we call on all workers to reject all forms of nationalism - to
unite in their workplaces, to strike in opposition not only to this war but all wars and
to help bring about the transformation of society from the barbarism of capitalism to a
free, just, and equal society. Only the working class has the power to do this, just as
the revolutionary action of the world's working class stopped the First World War 100
years ago.
Strikes, occupations, formation of community or workers' councils - these were the actions
the workers took against that war, and they managed to bring the slaughter to a halt. That
is why we continue to call for - No War But Class War!
