October 17, 1961, nearly 20,000 Algerians working in Paris peacefully demonstrate against
the curfew that the police department wants to impose. Police violence is unleashed
against men, women and defenseless children. Today, archives of the fence prevents the
whole truth to be known about this legal slaughter. ---- "The biggest massacre of workers
since the bloody week of the Paris Commune in May 1871." This is how the historian Gilles
Manceron described the killer waves triggered in October 1961 by the French police on the
orders of his prefect, former Vichy official Maurice Papon. ---- At the height of the wave
on October 17, several dozen Algerians and Algerians have been killed, thousands injured.
The victims' immigrants-emigrants "who worked mainly on construction sites and in
metropolitan factories, were the historical product of" uprooting "that devastated the
traditional economy of Algeria. The massacres of October 1961 they reached their peak
during the night of 17 October, are not confined to one day. 17 is just the symbol of a
brief struggle. The memory of the anti-racist supporters campaigning for the recognition
of a French crime state that all governments that have succeeded have always refused to admit.

2016 commemoration

On the occasion of this 55th anniversary, we demand truth and justice. Rally October 17,
2016 to 18 hours in Pont Saint-Michel in Paris.

The call on the website of the ATMF .

At that time, the war of the French government against the insurgency led by the National
Liberation Front (FLN) had lasted almost seven years. This "unnamed war"[1], which had to
wait until 1999 to no longer be appointed by the euphemistic term "events" took place in
the largest colony of France, the brutal conquest between 1830 and 1848 was was celebrated
by the great minds of the time, including Victor Hugo. It has even been legitimized by the
"historical materialism" of Marx and Engels that the advent of communism result of the
contradictions of capitalism.

Natives and citizens

The legal status of the colonized Algeria, with the institution of the Senatus consultum
of 14 July 1865 in particular, had made two specific groups unequal civil status.

The million French and French while living in Algeria - the Blackfoot - enjoyed the
metropolitan status of "French citizens of civil status under ordinary law '. It added the
35,000 naturalized French Jewish people by the Cremieux decree of 1870. Opposite 9 million
Algerians and native Algerians were suffering from being "French citizens of civil status
of Koranic law." It was the time of the rights of citizenship, extended to all French
colonies since 1889, which legally infériorisait colonized peoples.

The native had become "native", that is to say to expropriation and exploitable, less
legal to subject by the imperial state. The native population was the legal matrix of a
state of emergency for colonisé.es as captives of subjection. The "subjects" into an
"exceptional body" susceptible to all violence, symbolic and physical, from enfumades of
colonial conquest shootings of Constantine, through the "racist attacks" and other
drowning in the Seine .

This "exceptional body" imposed on women and men, friends and relatives still living, had
also been imposed in different historical conditions, to other social groups. The Jewish
people of the Bordeaux region, for example, more than 1,500 were deported via Drancy, in
Nazi camps were victims between 1942 and 1944 the zeal of the secretary general of the
Gironde prefecture: Maurice Papon. Terrifying continuity between Vichy and Republican rule
except in the person of Papon, responsible in 1956 for the coordination of civil and
military forces in eastern Algeria, then promoted in March 1958 police prefect of Paris.

In 1961, there were 152,000 Algerians in the Paris area. Anxious to eliminate its direct
competitor finally, the Algerian National Movement (NAM) Messali Hajj and monitor the
Algerian population working in France, the French Federation of the FLN, in August 1958
opened a "second front" on the floor metropolitan.

The "battle of Paris" Maurice Papon

Meanwhile, Papon police roundup of Algerians and Algerians and the park at the Vélodrome
d'Hiver: horrible continuity again. In 1960, NAM is defeated, and the FLN managed to set
up in Paris two wilayas (Arabic name calling administrative divisions) completing its
willingness to authoritatively supervise the daily life of Algerian emigration to France.
The mission entrusted to Papon is using torture centers where often officiate harkis -
Algerians devoted to the French cause - to break the FLN control over its popular base.

"Here we drown Algerians"

Conducted in the days following the massacre, a registration due to Jean-Marie Binoche and
Alexis Violet .

While the French government and the Provisional Government of the Algerian Republic (GPRA)
in 1961 begin a round of negotiations, the FLN maintains pressure in France by attacks
against the police. The average French policeman was then inhabited by a vengeful rage
ready to turn against any "wog", assimilated to the FLN.

At the funeral of a murdered policeman on 3 October 1961 Papon promises to his troops:
"For some time, we will carry ten. " And to establish two days later, despite its
unconstitutionality, a curfew prohibiting Algerians and Algerians to walk the streets
between 20: 30 and 5: 30 pm.

Corpses in the river

On October 7, the FLN asks its militants in France to stop their campaign of attacks. The
answer to the curfew is the organization for 17 October, a peaceful demonstration where
any weapon is prohibited. Tension, extreme on all sides, is especially palpable among
Algerians, the FLN grows manifest as racist murders have increased during the year, 200
people have been killed, including 50 just by September.

The event to news of October 25, 1961 ... and thirty years later, on Antenne 2.

On October 17, at 20: 30, more than 20,000 Algerians men, women and children, held Sunday
and came particularly from the slums of the western suburbs (Nanterre, Courbevoie,
Puteaux) form processions to the red and green colors of the future free Algeria. The
repression broke out, barbaric. In neighborhoods of the Star, Concorde and Opera, where
thousands of Algerians and Algerians flocked, many people are conducted in identification
centers. But the Grands-Boulevards neighborhoods, Saint-Michel and Saint-Germain are
themselves the scene of violent clashes. The resources mobilized are considerable: police
cars but also buses from the RATP, while the Palais des Sports and the Stade Pierre de
Coubertin used as temporary concentration camp for those arrested.

more than 11,000 arrests include the night of Tuesday 17 to Wednesday 18 October, and more
than 1,000 the next day. The police official says two deaths on the Algerian side and a
dozen injured policemen (actually a hundred).

The count of victims and missing persons remains difficult, due to the legal impossibility
to consult all the files, but also because of the disagreement of historians on the issue.
Among the problematic estimation of John Paul Brunet (50 victims) and at least 200 counted
by Jean-Luc Einaudi[2]is a gap in memory of the French state, which allows to make his
amnesia, amnesty for the killers.

In the weeks that followed, the river has made dozens of bodies in Paris, Nanterre, Stains
and Saint-Denis. Among them, that of Fatima Bedar, 15, rescued on October 31 in the
Saint-Denis canal and now a symbol of the murdered innocence.

Hot Pronouncements

The event could not go unnoticed. It causes pronouncements of the League of Human Rights
and the magazine Truth, Freedom, to Pierre Vidal-Naquet. Le Monde, Christian witness,
L'Express and Spirit publish articles. Cimade made a working copy of help and information.
A summary of Paulette Peju entitled racist attacks in Paris and published by François
Maspero is censored, as the film shot by Jacques hot Panigel, October in Paris . For Elie
Kagan photographer, child, escaped the anti-Jewish raids, pictures taken on the evening of
October 17 show a horrible continuity: "My fear, which takes me / October 61 / July 42,"
he wrote. Claude Lanzmann says the same thing in Modern Times .

The official left prefer it, emphasize repression of its own events . Like that of 8
February 1962, turned more against the OAS and the torture towards independence, and in
which nine activists CGT will perish crushed against the Charonne subway grates.

The fiftieth anniversary of the massacres of October 17, 1961 is an opportunity here to
say this: the duty to remember the name of respect for the dead yesterday, fell under the
blows of the French state, must lead to the right to understand how colonial violence
yesterday, combining oppression of race but also class, radiates a fossil light our
postcolonial present.

"Blunders" police euphemistically calling the killing of people from the Maghreb,
discriminatory administrative treatment of foreigners called "irregular", confined in
detention centers such as Vincennes, reactivation of the 1955 emergency during revolts
popular and racialized youth fall 2005 ... There are many manifestations of colonial
specter that continues to haunt the French Republic, and feed racism and division of the
proletariat.

Last Wednesday, at 05/10 we found ourselves in the courts of Thessaloniki to prevent
conduct first auction house. The solidarity people there faced with the forces which
various tricks (complete ban, entrance only with identities, blocking the door) trying to
prevent our entry in the courts. People demanded to get inside the building and created
tension, which led to a brawl and eventually capture a mate. However people managed to get
into the building and to cancel the auction. ---- It is now obvious that the left
government, in full harmony and cooperation with the banks and the riot police question
the right of each of us and each housing. Challenges the social good housing. And to
ensure the successful completion of the project, xamolaei repressive mechanisms of
arresting militants, thinking that this will curb the militancy.

Cops, judges, politicians know that does not scare us, our stubborn! None agonist alone in
state hands! No home in the hands of bankers!

"The disconnect between what we are told we have gained and what we face every day in our
actual lives lays the basis for a modern women's movement". ---- Attacks on women's
rights, attacks on immigrants and refugees, along with open permission for white
supremacist expression is galvanizing the growing right wing movement. ---- Attacks on
women's rights, attacks on immigrants and refugees, along with open permission for white
supremacist expression is galvanizing the growing right wing movement. Women's health care
clinics are being closed at a rapid rate, especially in smaller towns and rural areas.
---- The increasing attacks on gay and trans people are connected to the attack on women.
A gay man is seen as a traitor to male-dom, a gay woman as a usurper. Trans people are
especially demonized. Current legislation against gay rights is exacerbating this situation.

Public spaces that allow women's presence are shrinking. The taunting and catcalls when we
walk on a public street are becoming more insistent, more threatening. The incidents and
threat of rape is increasing. Wayne County (Michigan) has thousands of unprocessed rape
kits, waiting for public donations to get them processed.

Single mothers are increasingly held solely responsible for the physical, financial and
emotional well being of their children. Father's rights have been used in divorce court as
a club against women. The threats of wage garnishment and jail for lack of child support
have not helped mothers nor their children, and often pit parents against each other.

Working women face increasing responsibility with decreasing support. The globalization of
manufacturing - the moving of factories which provided union jobs to countries which
permit low wage labor-has left us scrambling to provide and pay our bills on low wage jobs
in this country as well.

Women of color are subject to pressures and expectations, as well as attacks, that are
specific to them; not faced by men of color nor by white women.

Bourgeois or middle class women have risen in the corporate world. They are doctors and
lawyers, professionals and presidential candidates. Their success is used to demonstrate
to women that we all can do this, we all can work, go to school and raise a family - it
must be ourselves that is lacking if we find ourselves without energy, without money,
without support.

The women's movement of the 1970s increased possibilities and opportunities for women that
were not previously available. However, many of our demands - free workplace childcare,
free abortion on demand, the right to control our bodies and determine our own sexuality
have been pushed back ferociously. The demands for equal pay have still not been realized.

The disconnect between what we are told we have gained and what we face every day in our
actual lives lays the basis for a modern women's movement. This movement must not be
limited to women!

First of May Anarchist Alliance is engaged in the struggle, women and men and all genders
together, to realize the full growth of all of us. Emotional sharing and support is not a
"woman's thing." Providing for a family is not a "man's thing." Children need and deserve
the love and support of a community of adults, related by blood or not, to help them grow
and learn and push the boundaries of their own interests and desires.

In the current struggles we are engaged in, be it housing, water rights, anti-police, or
immigration, women are playing a leading role. We ensure our rights through revolution,
making it impossible for them to be taken away.

Inside the lunar landscape of Greek reality, as formulated in the period of capitalist
crisis, the right-left governments and the European Union, the social wealth bleeding
campaign puts another purpose: housing. - After the frontal attack the state and capital
to work, agriculture, insurance, social liberties, the environment and social goods, raise
their targeted one of the few remaining materials supports the working class and
oppressed. ---- The antiasfalistiko bill passed by parliament, is another face of the new
war which has declared the local and international capital to employees, self-employed,
farmers, pensioners and by extension to all people who support with their incomes (
children, relatives with chronic diseases, etc.). After the new criminal bill in social
security, is more evident than ever that an all-out counterattack class, in the fields of
housing, insurance, health, leading to a concerted proletarian refusal of payment is
necessary.

Leaving now aside any pretext, the recent enactment of prerequisites in late 2015 by the
SYRIZA-ANEL government, paving the way for the advent and international finance capital
against the house. Manage Red loans and real estate longer enter into international
investment houses and funds, and in particular, as the guardian of the interests of
debtors against the above companies, displayed by the Bank of Greece and the Banking Code
of Conduct (!).

After 'legal drafting improvements "in November substantially slash whatever protections
existed until now, the framework of the auctions protection afstiropoieitai dramatically
timeouts remain unclear, while new abstract concepts are introduced as the" cooperative
borrower. " Clarifications, definitions, reviews etc., Pass all the banking crisis. The
government washes its hands, simply asking bankers to show understanding and grace (see.
Dragasakis November statements). Queues of debtors in local courts late last December, for
joining the relatively favorable settings Katseli Law, reveal the dimensions of the
threat. The application for inclusion in the Act itself is a costly process with the
required amount could rise to about 1000 euro. Even the claim to protect, handsomely paid.

From 1/1 / 2016, the possibility of zero dose abolished for those who have no income or
unable not only to pay their installments and to cope with daily expenses of their
families. In addition, it opened the process of free sale and reducing the costs of
auctioning. If that is the first auction prove fruitless, the second starts at half the
market value of the property, and if he too is not completed, the third starts from zero
starting price. Even if the property is auctioned at an amount lower than the commercial
value and the loan amount, the borrower still owes the bank the remaining amount. And
loses his home and still owes. In essence sought from borrowers repayment of the loan for
the second time. And this at a time when many of the red loans have essentially paid to
banks through taxes and bank recapitalization.

So if someone is unable to repay the banks the net profit will be marked "uncooperative"
and the house will be coming under the hammer or alternatively, the loan can be passed
into the hands of investment houses, who added convenience -as the banks do not expect
necessarily to the repayment of the loan will convert the property to a financial product
and gambling, multiplying their winnings. For us, the defense of the first housing and
preventing evictions and auction, is practical and class terms defend the social good
housing. Away from populist, radical Falsified fanfare, our policy framework for the fight
against auctions, is class protection of all social assets, part of which is the
dwelling-house.

The cancellation of an auction in the county court, shifts the process to two months after
creating a first time, a temporary defense forefront of our class. Therefore, the presence
of all of us in local courts is necessary. We must realize the need to pass from the
defense of housing, to guarantee as good for all and all; the necessity of passing from
defense to attack.

Starting from this position, and against all private and commercial exploitation of the
dwelling use but put the tool of the occupation as a form of militant recovery of social
wealth, to ensure housing for all the oppressed of the world, homeless / s, immigrants /
only three, laborers / behavior shows, the ftochodiavolous of our time.

As Anarchist Federation, part of the exploited and oppressed, we fight with our class by
any means. We will be there, the local courts, roads, neighborhoods, opposite to the
judges, bank representatives and managers of investment funds, in physical confrontation
if necessary with their uniformed protectors; with the poor, the unemployed, workers, the
oppressed with the exploited against the state and capital.

Do not let anyone just opposite to bank gangs

After regional elections a man is where he was, regardless of whether they go or not.
Download, print and spread the October issue of the wall newspaper A3. ---- ... A long
time ago by the ban - said once known anarchist Emma Goldman. For us, it therefore pays
almost one hundred percent if we mean the result of an act of an ordinary man who naively
hoped that his will was thrown into the ballot box (and the election) will affect the
immediate course of the world and the plight manage our common affairs. ---- Elections can
change anything except the mafia and political, partisan and formed their tails. It is a
mafia built more than two decades, it is nice to see just on the regional elections. In
the last ones, which were held this October, although somewhere Babišfertu winning team,
but a coalition of all those who already took the troughs him immediately after the
announcement of results in faithful compliance from those troughs vyšachovala. But he has
somehow can pull this minister kulak what drives like a company, which is the sole
shareholder dividends harvesting to him on a silver tray to bring obedient employees and
gullible voters. They probably just shake their eyes. That was a successful fair patriotic
racist who chose paradoxical fellows - no less racist Japanese immigrant.

Who goes to the polls and you can also make your own judgment about how to really
supervises the activities of candidates, the second time actually has plenty to choose
from. Just do not see all the corruption in which the election is gradually strong, but
weaker stomachs tangled, but also those nesankcionované little things that offend their
bluntness. For example, when burrowing beneath her black councilor makes election
advertising in public space and as an ordinary citizen for the position of flowerpots in
front of the entrance to pay a fine for abuse of public space as well, it is no longer
just a moral disappointment aside. Despite the complete lack of respect when the box with
the inscription "Do not throw leaflets" hunt election enticements paper promising that
candidates are there just to meet our wishes. If it is so, then test again a citizen to
vote, thinking that another new councilor will not join the established social order, can
his naivete and will repeat the same mistake over and over only envy.

The path to the urn is thus similar way to bet is placed each week, thinking that one day
it has to go, although inexorability statistics testifies about something completely
different. What is the joy when we once in their life will return an amount equal to the
monthly contribution into this silly business. On the other hand, it is understandable
that people want to preserve at least the rest of their own honor, thus suggesting that
perhaps they can influence public life (do we have a democracy). Although naively need to
assess the state of health care by hospital room comfort and architectural design of
hospital areas, it is not quite possible to deny them the least civic efforts within the law.

From this perspective, the result is a wonderful balance of this year's regional
elections in the East traditional pravicákove (before November '89 the traditional
bolševikove): "Homeless Alexander Salak and punks Stephen Malek ... narrowly escaped place
in the council of the. With hundreds of preferential A3 votes ended up as alternates just
behind the leaders in a joint electorate Pirates and green, "he wrote media. We can of
course speculate about why people living the life of a typical small-town voted for the
homeless, but one reason is clearly offers: homeless person spends almost all his time
among ordinary people, he knows them and they know it. Talking together about all that is
important to them, and speak frankly. The homeless man knows very well what it means to
live with dignity and cohesion and solidarity of the underprivileged. Perhaps he would be
able to stand as an elected representative, but, frankly, is rather good that among the
current politikárský clan will have to occur.

When the absolute majority of candidates from among people who know and understand our
life as a homeless person, it will be a completely different situation ... And perhaps it
will be precisely those choices that could make a difference. So it is the top Disable.
Until then, people who can not help themselves and they want to vote, whether levied
homeless and punks. Previously served this purpose well Haškova party of moderate progress
within the law.

We, the anarchists, but rather we will continue to keep out of the ballot box and the
rules written by those whom they serve, therefore, economic and political elites. We will
prefer to work hard to materialize the vision of a bottom-organized structures where the
decision-making can join at any time, not just for a few hours every couple of years.

their studies and especially employment "unexpected" after many galleys for others. The
fear of losing this meager salary, the anguish of exclusion or having to face the
hierarchy are very strong. And this is not the cédéisation of AESH that will change the
situation: personal are statutorily recognized and guaranteed a job ... but paid the
minimum wage with no career development, and always bondsmen to thank you.

The return to the proletariat of the nineteenth century when the salary allowed just live
in poverty!

This past Wednesday, October 12th, 2016, members of First of May Anarchist Alliance joined
with dozens of others rallying from across Michigan to stand in solidarity with LGTBQ
prisoners. The demo was at the Michigan Department of Corrections in Lansing, Michigan.
---- From the organization, Interupt, ---- "Some photos (thx to Alejo) from today's "Can't
Cage Our Humanity" rally in solidarity with Michigan LGBTQ prisoners, held outside the
Michiga Department of Corrections headquarters in Lansing. Some 50 folks handed out
literature that included the prisoners' demands; heard words/poems/audio from queer &
trans people currently incarcerated; filled the sidewalks and street with banners; and let
LGBTQ folks inside know that they aren't alone - and continued to build on good, old and
new interconnections between each other."

When: ---- 22nd October 2016 @ 11:00 - 16:00 ---- Where: ---- Margate, Margate, UK ----
Oppose the fascist White Lives Matter march - 22 October, Margate ---- The fascist ‘White
Lives Matter' (WLM) march in Margate on 22 October will attempt to stir up racial tension
in our town. The group behind this march are the Neo Nazi South East Alliance (SEA) and
others. SEA consistently post White Power articles and images and from time to time
feature posts in favour of Adolf Hitler! ---- SEA have recently organised ‘Unity'
demonstrations in Dover. Their group is small as many of their members are either in jail
for violent crimes or on bail restrictions. ---- They aim to piggyback onto the WLM group
in the US - a white Supremacist organisation - to rebuild their pathetic and violent
organisation after being humilated in Dover

As far as we're aware, this is the first WLM march in the UK, so it's important we ensure
it's an abject failure as it discourages others to emulate them and stops them recruiting.
But critically, we have to send a clear message that we will not stand idly by whilst
racists and fascists are in our town attacking people of colour.

In the aftermath of Brexit, racial tensions have become inflamed. People from Eastern
Europe and people of colour have borne the brunt of xenophobia and racism. We have to come
together, across the community, to oppose racist marches in our town.

Blatantly re-posted from London Antifascists: "OCTOBER 11: Our Cable Street celebration
demo was a massive success. It brought in hundreds of militant antifascists from across
the country in unity and comradeship in a show of strength against fascism. We would like
to take this opportunity to thank every group that attended, ever person not affiliated
and all the other organisations involved in planning the day.

We decided that it we would call to support this demonstration because Cable Street and
anti-fascist victories like Cable Street is the kind of anti-fascism that our group tries
to emulate.

It was opposed to the state that was trying to smash a path for the fascists and it was
rooted in the forces of the working class. This has always been our approach to
anti-fascism and its an approach that some have lost along the way.

Remembering Cable Street means supporting any activity that would hinder fascist
recruitment or growth. It means supporting comrades that have been arrested or are in
prison for anti-fascism.

It means never relying on the power of the state to stop the fascists and if necessary
opposing the state to stop fascists.

Finally, it means rooting your anti-fascism in the struggle for a better world for working
people, not in an attempt to maintain the status quo.

These are the lessons from Cable Street and other victories like it and the things that
any anti-fascist movement should embody.

The fascist threat today is small due to the hard work of anti-fascists everywhere but it
is not gone. At London Anti-Fascists we do not believe in waiting for fascism to grow
before we combat it, join us in facing it down today so we don't leave it to the next
generation tomorrow.

The Z. Abdullah was active politically in the early 1970s, even at a young age, in the
ranks of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and later participated in the
establishment of the Lebanese Armed Revolutionary Fraction. Until his arrest he fought
against the Israeli state and the occupation regime imposed a large part of the
Palestinian territories and southern Lebanon. Already, after the Six-Day War in 1967 and
the Arab-Israeli war of 1973, Israel had extended its domination of the Palestinian land,
and the increasing expansionism led to the invasion of the south originally Lebanon and
march a few years later in 1982, until the capital Beirut and the massacre of thousands of
Palestinians in the Sabra and Shatila. ---- Within this context and as in many European
countries taking place actions against American and isrilinon objectives in the fight
internationalization, the Z. Abdullah was arrested in 1984 in France on charges of
possession of false identities and sentenced to four years imprisonment. During his
detention, and under the pressure of US and Israeli authorities, retrial and sentenced to
life for the execution of an American military and an Israeli agent.

Throughout the course of several years of imprisonment will keep a consistent militant and
combative attitude, participating in hunger strikes in solidarity to prisoners in white
cells of Turkey, in Basque and Palestinian political prisoners and will continue to speak
and struggling for the liberation of Palestine from Israeli occupation.

Despite the fact that since 1999 is entitled to conditional release, all applications
rejected by the French State in line with the vengeful requirement of the US government
and Israel remain imprisoned because of his competitive attitude over the years.

On October 24 the Z. Abdullah completes 32 years in prison he threw with all his strength
in the just struggle of the Palestinian people, he stood against the Israeli occupation
and crimes committed by the Israeli state and its allies, he continues to battle against
exploitation and oppression.

We stand in solidarity alongside all the competitors in every part of the world, the
struggles of the oppressed for freedom, equality and dignity. And will not let anyone
agonist hostage in state hands!
