Children, the sick, and the elderly have been especially hard hit. Amnesty crisis investigators met Sarif, a blind refugee from Iraq, during their research mission to Greece. Sarif’s son told them she is more than 100 years old. He carried her on his back all the way to Turkey to escape the armed group calling itself Islamic State. She has been living in a tent in northern Greece since February. The world has been gripped by heart-wrenching stories of refugees like Sarif. Now, we must spur world leaders to act in the face of the largest refugee crisis the world has seen since World War II. Your generous contribution will help Amnesty:
