Meet Your ALNBCT Network Board of Directors: Wendy Story, 2nd Vice President

Wendy Story is the Assistant Principal at Shades Cahaba Elementary school in Homewood, AL. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and currently serves as the 2nd Vice President for the AL NBCT board.  Wendy initially completed National Board Certification in 2006 and recently went through the renewal process. She is passionate about providing the best possible educational experiences for all students and sees National Board Certification as the best professional growth opportunity for teachers.

Previously, she was an Instructional Technology Specialist and continues to be an avid edtech supporter.  Wendy has presented at ISTE in Houston and Denver,  AETC, CoSN in Washington DC, SEEC at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, and many other local and national conferences.  Wendy is also an EdCamp junkie.  She is a co-organizer of EdCamp Birmingham and the founder of EdCamp Leadership Alabama.  

Wendy is married to Chris and they have an active eight year old daughter, two energetic dogs, and one lazy cat. In her spare time, she enjoys camping in the Starship Storyprise, all things Harry Potter, and snuggles with her family.
