Reagan's Republicanism used to express a more or less coherent political philosophy. Now the utter victory of Trumpism over the party means that all that's left is nativism, fear of the Other, racial blame, and white resentment. Not that these were absent before, but now they are the main motivating dynamic -- and actual conservative policies are either in the background or have been abandoned
