Just a couple of recurrent themes that need the best of our minds to really think about. I wish some of them would choose to discuss and really wrestle these things to the ground.
Start Here
If you want to try to alter the direction of society, you must start in the home. A certain philosophical approach to family and such will help. If we were all taught to be sober, respectful ,hard working, frugal within the home, how much better would our world be ? I haven't a clue, but I suspect that some of the things that seem so common place could be eliminated if there was actually a family centered society. I haven't got a clue how as to how to go about it, but I think many of the male vices if eliminated could help make family life more . We can readily see how societal ills are traceable to our eroded family structures.
Backstroke
Today when I awakened, I was hit with the top news story , a swimmer got suspended. I thought to myself , is this really a new item. I mean at this point who really cares about this blip . He is a jerk okay , we get it, but who really cares. I am more interested in what is happening in Europe. Stories leaking out are particularly disturbing, yet our news entities barely cover any news elsewhere in the world. The lack of American knowledge of world affairs is disturbing and that is the fault of our Media. We really need a news reporting system that is thorough and is capable of delivering more than red carpet and Khardasian updates. We have a terribly uniformed population, almost incapable of making any type of informed choice. How malleable will we become when all we get is propaganda or nonsense news. Our news is frivolous as is our television programing. We need to up our game. In a time when people should be taking college courses on television, we are fed the Teal House Wives of Orange County and other such nonsense.
Be Quiet
Control of the internet, wow what a great way to control communication and population. The powers that be have learned that there is a danger when large numbers of people can engage in unchecked communication as has been demonstrated by Twotter and Facebook and open access web sites. So it would appear that we can't have this, so control must be achieved. No one trust to the American Government to be the controlling factor so who should we select? My vote goes to no one.
I can foresee a time when absolute control of the means of communication can only serve to restrict the freedoms of people. I for sure do not think that the internet has had much good use, but as a means of communication of it is a good tool. There are many who do use it properly and use it for
information gathering and the like. But somewhere in my tinfoiled hat wearing brain I get the feeling that we ought not welcome any form of restriction on our ability to communicate with each other in private or public communication. The powers may not like it, but we need to keep it open and free. I suspect that one of the reasons for this sudden need to control the internet is because security of financial networks has fallen far short of where it needs to be and it threatens some form of global financial crisis. So rather than address that , we will have a draconian control operation.
Vote Early and Vote Often
So you can't take yourself down to the firehouse or the elementary school one time in November and cast you ballot. You can't mail in your absentee ballot, you can't show some form of ID, be it a library card or a drivers license to vote. Well we have you covered, we will have you vote on line.
Which is about the worst idea ever. How about someone running for high elected office tell George Soros that we have no mind for his form of mayhem Guess this goes along with control of the internet.
The superficial treatment these topics are given by our politicians makes me wonder aabout what they are really up to.
