SEED OF FAITH!
Jesus Christ today teaches using an example of a “seed” which we can be understood very easily. For any seed to spring, it is necessary to change from its original state, receive air, water, light and environment which favors growth for it. If it allows itself to be changed, then we see the roots springing, leaves sprouting, the branches grow, then the tree gives the fruit or seeds similar to the seed which died.
In the history of the Christian life we are told, this is the case of the blood of the martyrs. The early church grew and thrived in this way through the two thousand years. In short: "The blood of martyrs is the seed of the Church." Martyrs (Witnesses) are those who are killed for what they believe, and that is to defend one's faith in Jesus Christ. All those who shed their blood like St. Lawrence likened to a seed that dies but later produces much fruit. Martyrs died striving in their unfailing faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and thus through their death, many people also came to believe in the teaching and faith of Christ. Today, Christ invites us to lay down our lives in professing our faith in Christ. We should be ready to resist all that is against the plan of God, that we might bear good fruit and receive eternal life and be with him always.
Prayer: Lord, I want to be a seed of Faith. Amen.
