Two babies have died after being left in a parked car on a hot summer's day.The children, 15-month old twins, were strapped to their baby seats in Carroll County, Georgia on Thursday.
According to Daily Record, neighbours saw both children in the car and managed to break into the vehicle and remove them.
They were then rushed to hospital, however both children were pronounced dead upon arrival by medics.Police officers interviewed the father, and later charged him with manslaughter.
It is understood that the mother was in hospital at the time of the incident.
She was reportedly involved in a car accident.
Carrollton Police Captain Chris Dobbs said:

"There were some individuals holding the infants in a pool and actually had some ice packs also."Neighbour Regina Cleveland said:
"It’s sad because I have grandchildren and I can’t even imagine my grandkids leaving me – and especially under those conditions – it was so hot today."
