“HONEY FROM THE ROCK”

THE WILL OF GOD!
Mary is the only person to have shared in the physical motherhood of Jesus. Jesus wants all of us to be members of his family, even though we may not share in the physical motherhood as Mary did. And we can be members of his family by doing his will. We can be his brothers, sisters, father, mother, by doing the will of God. And is there any person who did the will of God better than Mary? Mary was the most perfect of the disciples – the disciple of disciples, who said ‘YES’ to the will/word of God at all times. Today’s Gospel reading is inviting each one of us to be members of the family of Jesus, by doing God’s will. Even though we may not have the privilege to be the mother of Jesus, we can still experience the same love of God as Mary experienced by being faithful to God’s word.
Prayer: Mary our mother, help us to be close to your Son Jesus, by doing his will at all times. Amen.
