JESUS, THE COMPASS OF JOY!

The magnetic compass is a navigational instrument to direct people especially sailors, military, etc. So do the readings of today, like a compass, reveal to us the true God in Jesus. As the compass, helps the navigator to reach the destination. Similarly Jesus also by becoming the compass of joy leads us to everlasting joy. But this joy is achieved not without hardships as that of the navigator who has to walk an unknown path to reach his destination. Jesus himself was a navigator who was sure of his ultimate destiny the passion, death and resurrection. So will our path be. Secondly, our lives are like a mirror that reflects who we are. But when we take Jesus, the new wine with the new ideas and new conception of truth he becomes our brand new mirror who is placed before us to realize that we ought to be different than we really are at present. The old self with the old principles needs to be replaced with the new self with new principles. So there is need for a change of our self. By placing Jesus the mirror before us we will see our false self in comparison with the real self of Jesus that we ought to be.

Prayer: I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the God of my salvation. Amen
