Hisham (Sudan, 33 years) died by suicide - We Are Here A'dam‏

We are not 100% sure that it was suicide. But it could be, its also possible he was not aware what he was doing. Just out of respect we want to be careful with the claims we make.

Today we walk a demonstration because we are angry that the system drives people to despair. The We Are Here group that exists now for 3,5 years, already lost 3 lives. In the coming month they will again be evicted from the current squat they live in with around 130 people.

now since six years, three years in the system, three years out the

Because I want protection from the government and war. There is no
freedom, there is no humanity rights. And then I arrived to Europe.
Already, I was believing in Europe, I will find human rights. And
actually I found something different. Europe believes it is the human
rights. That they made the human rights. I lived on the streets. It is
not possible for person, to live in the street without anything, without
knowing where to go, without friends.

    At the same time, if you get arrested without documents, then they
bring you in the jail. And then, for how long, you don’t know. They can
keep you till two years. And maybe try to send you back. Also, in my
place, in Darfur, is still not safe. If I go back, I will die. And then,
they let me free. I come back to the streets. That happened to me, two
times. Where are the rights? Where is the humanity? Where are the human
rights? So that’s mean, I lost my right as a human person. In my
country, and in Europe.”

Je suis du Soudan et mon premier asile était dans les Pays-Bas. Je vis
maintenant depuis six ans, trois ans dans le système, trois ans en
dehors du système. Et ensuite, la vie étant en dehors du système, ou
être sans documents, ce n’est pas facile pour moi comme Réfugié.
Pourquoi je suis ici en Europe ? Parce que je veux la protection du
gouvernement et de la guerre. Il n’y a aucune liberté, il n’y a aucun
droit d’humanité. Et ensuite je suis arrivé en Europe. Déjà, je croyais
en Europe, je trouverai des droits humains. Et en réalité j’ai trouvé
quelque chose de différent. L’Europe croit que ce sont eux les droits
humains. Qu’ils aient fait les droits humains. J’ai vécu dans les rues.
Ce n’est pas possible pour une personne, de vivre dans la rue sans quoi
que ce soit, sans savoir connaître ou aller, sans amis.

En même temps, si vous êtes arrêtés sans documents, alors ils vous
amènent dans la prison. Et ensuite, pour combien de temps, vous ne savez
pas. Ils peuvent vous garder jusqu’à deux ans. Et essaye peut-être de
vous renvoyer. Aussi, à ma place, à Darfour, ce n’est toujours pas sûr.
Si je retourne, je mourrai. Et ensuite, ils me laissent sortir. Je
reviens dans les rues. Ce m’est arrivé, deux fois. Où sont les droits ?
Où est l’humanité ? Où sont les droits humains ? Donc ça veut dire que
j’ai perdu mon droit en tant qu’une personne humaine. Dans mon pays, et
en Europe.
