Instructors Jimmy Voorhis, Michael Hutchins, Simon Frez-Albrecht and students just left for Talkeetna Air Taxi to fly to the Pika Glacier.
The students had a busy day starting with gear check and lunch packing. After lunch Simon Frez-Albrecht demonstrated how to properly pack the backpack. They practiced traveling on rope teams and fixed line ascention.
