| Article Title: | Effect of Nonionogenic Surfactant on Cyanobacteria; |
| Abstract: | The non-ionogenic surfactant Triton X-100 acted differently on cyanobacteria Synechococcus WH 7805 and WH 8103: 5 mg/liter of the surfactant inhibited strain 7805 and favored the development of strain 8103. A lower concentration (0.5 mg/liter) stimulated the growth of both strains. Triton X-100 produced no effect on the motility of strain 8103 cells. |
