Alabama Site Director for the Network to Transform Teaching
The Alabama Network to Transform Teaching (NT3) Team seeks a qualified candidate for a position as Site Director of the Network to Transform Teaching in Alabama through fall 2018. The Network to Transform Teaching is a collaborative effort of nine states and two districts working to build a standards-based, collaborative teaching profession with shared responsibility for students’ learning. The network has two complementary strategies: one focused on building accomplished teaching at the school level and another focused on ensuring coherence across the teaching career continuum at a system level. The network’s work is supported by a 2015 U.S. Department of Education Supporting Effective Educator Development (SEED) grant awarded to the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
Role Description
The Site Director will be the day-to-day leader for the Network to Transform Teaching initiative. It is important that the Site Director understands the organization of the statewide system that supports teaching in Alabama and also is able to work alongside leaders across the state and in other states.
