An early morning walk allowed me to see this handsome bird. The Eyes are especially interesting.
A Black Crowned Night Heron.. I saw him swoop in to the secluded part of the lake, but then lost sight of him, so after walking around the end of the lake and making my way home I spotted him perched on a deadfall.. He is an unusual , but not rare fellow.
