1) Poster from the 3 squats of the city!

The authorities claim that there is no space for new population in the
city, so the most appropriate house for the immigrants and the refugees
is the tents of the detention center in Katsikas.
We made photos of 6 public buildings that are not in use (2 of them are
in use partially), inside the city center and we made a poster (50x70cm).
the poster says:
solidarity with the squats of immigrants, refugees, poor, homeless, jobless
the empty buildings "belong" to those who need them
now refugges and immigrants need them
2) The army did not allow the layer's association to inform the
refugees/immigrants of Katsika
All detention centers of greece are under the control of the army.
The layer's association of Ioannina prepared a multilingual broschure to
inform the refugees/immigrants of Katsika about the asylum procedure,
their rights etc. (there is no official information from the opening of
the camp until today).
The army wanted to check the content of the flyer and wanted to forbid
the entrance to the commitee of the layers (the camp is an open one).
Finally the layers entered the camp (they decided not to hand out the
leaflet at that time), and the chief of the camp asked them not to
inform the refugees/immigrants of Katsika eveν orally! At the end he
sent 1 officer and 2 soldiers to observe the layers from a distance of
0.5 m. In the video below the president of the layer's association makes
a statement against the army (in greek)
