Don't ignore this international human rights crisis‏

Tell the African Union to Help Stop the Bloody Crisis in Burundi Sign The Petition Dear friends, "Our country is on the brink of war, and we feel forgotten... If we don't get help soon, it may be too late." Genevieve Kanyange is just one in over 250,000 people who have fled Burundi since violence broke out last year. The bloody crisis in Burundi will only continue to escalate if no action is taken. After a failed coup attempt last year, state sanctioned violence in Burundi continues to escalate. People are being forced to flee their homes into neighbouring nations who are becoming overwhelmed with refugees. The stories of those who have managed to flee are full oftorture, rape and murder. But the world continues to turn a blind eye — including the African Union, of which Burundi is a member. The African Union is an organization devoted to encouraging peace, higher standards of living and human rights. Burundi is in desperate need of aid to help them achieve exactly that! The African Union must use its influence to condemn the current actions of the the Burundi government and stop the violence and diaspora from that country. With enough international pressure, the African Union will rise to do its duty. We can no longer ignore the suffering that's going on in Burundi. Please sign the petition telling the leader of the African Union to use political influence to pressure the Burundian government towards peace.
