The organization of the Anarchist Book Fair in Patras was a thought that was not enough
time to Comrades mind we engage in self space "for the forward." - The success and
positive -from us- hand account of the events of the previous two years, leads us to the
organization for the 3rd time this year, aiming to become established as a 3-day event,
discussions, presentations, exhibitions, cultural activities ... and of course celebrating
kinematic books and publications. ---- The aim of the festival is to promote the wealth of
anarchist, antiauthoritarian and libertarian beliefs, diffusion of anarchist imperatives
in society and especially the youth of the city at a time when state propaganda against
those who resist self-organized and bottom prevails while racism , social cannibalism and
ekfasismos seem to be the only options a society in crisis.
Moreover, at a time and within the resistance movements formed depreciation terms for the
political ferment and deepening, we believe that the promotion of the culture of
self-education, political and theoretical exploration, conservation of social and class
memory against the culture of lifestyle anarchism and chouligkanopoiisis policy are
particularly important moments in the direction of the wider reconstruction of the radical
and revolutionary movement.
This year, the 3-day festival will host book presentations, discussions, events, plays and
views on a variety of thematic.
At the same time, all the days there will be a photo exhibition and poster policy of
moments of the anarchist movement in the city of Patras.
We create a space free from the state and the goods, a place to meet, debate and
criticism, where any fee is to serve the economic self-potentiation of various ventures
that make up the festival.
Cultural events and exhibitions are moving at a reasonable re-appropriation of public
space and converting it into a meeting place of resistance and creation.
On Thursday and Parakefi, the festival will start at 6 pm and Saturday from 12 am to
kinematic book fair, political poster, photography, music distro self-organized and
printed materials of the anarchist / antiauthoritarian movement.
We thank all who responded for another year positively to our call for the holding of such
a festival. Publishing projects, cultural groups, self-managed spaces and collectives
policies.

2016 is turning into a momentous year. Victory now looks certain in the water charges
campaign but it was never just about water and a victory that leaves the ruling parties in
power has a sour taste. The 1916 commemorations reminded us that even small numbers of
committed organised people can initiate big changes, but also that limiting what is fought
for will result in the capitalist class reasserting control as soon as the gun smoke
clears. ---- The Dublin Anarchist Bookfair demonstrated once more that there is a huge
interest in anarchist ideas. Hundreds took part in the event and although it was free we
can now confirm that donations from those attending have covered the entire cost of about
2600 euro. The DABF is a good example of how anarchists organised together can make things
happen that otherwise would not take place.
The challenge for all of us, including you dear reader, is to turn that interest in
anarchism into effective anarchist organisation in every neighbourhood, workplace, school,
college and townland across the island. The ability of WSM to contribute to that process
is limited by the number of members we have. We know a lot of you are interested in
contributing so to make it easy for you to get involved we will be running a membership
drive over the summer.
Here is how you can take part
1. Help make this callout more visible by liking and sharing this announcement of Facebook
so more people following the page will see it. Feel free to ask question in the comments
which will also help.
2. If you are already in our email contact system ( www.wsm.ie/user ) make sure you have
ticked the 'Become a Member' box. We will be contacting everyone who has early next week
so keep an eye on your emails for more details. Note if you use gmail google sends our
emails to the Promotions tab so keep an eye on that.
3. If you are not already an email contact create an account now at

A demonstration organised by United Against Racism took place on Tuesday 10th on Nutgrove
Way, Rathfarnham. Despite the wet and windy weather, a couple hundred people assembled to
show solidarity with the Ahmadzai family - originally from Afghanistan - and to send a
message to their assailants. 4 men, at least some of them local, carried out a vicious and
pre-meditated racist attack on brothers Naqib (18) and Fazal (20), and their 13-year-old
nephew Abdul, on Thursday 5th at around 8pm as they walked home. ---- Background ----
There's no ambiguity about the racism of the attack (cf. Irish Times: 'apparent racist
attack' and ''racist' attack') and it was of the utmost severity. Among other things, the
attackers barked 'Why are you here? Go back to your country'. They told their victims they
knew where they lived: 'I know you live in [estate]. You all live in [estate]'. And they
made a direct threat on their lives: 'We’ll see you again. Go back to your own country.
This is a warning, next time we’ll kill you. [Fucking Muslims]'.
Witnesses shouted at the thugs to stop, and took photos of them and their car (a blue
Peugeot). After the attackers fled , witnesses came to the Ahmadzais to check if they were
OK. An ambulance was called and all 3 of them were taken to hospital. The two uncles –
having been beaten unconscious, including with iron bars - were transferred to the
emergency department.
Trauma
Of course, if the word 'terrorism' was ever appropriate it is now, but the narrative will
not be presented as such in the mainstream because this is reserved for Muslims (and
republicans). As expected, the attack had a profoundly traumatising effect. In the days
following the attack, the family variously said that they were considering moving back to
Afghanistan, that none of the six children in the house will be attending school anymore,
and that the two brothers are too afraid to leave the house.
Abdul, in an interview with RTE on Sunday, said that 'I'm always scared, I can't sleep at
night. When I sleep I dream they come to my house and kill my family ... I don't want to
go anywhere, I don't want to go to school, I don't want to go to the park, not even the
shop – because if that was their warning, how would they kill me? ... If I don't go to
school, I'm OK without education, at least I'll be alive'
The 3 had actually decided not to attend the demonstration on Tuesday, due to fear of
being attacked again, but changed their mind when people gathered.
Solidarity
It is not all bleak. Although Ireland is certainly not free from racism – either personal
or institutionalised – '[this attack] does not represent the Irish people [or] Ireland',
as Shaykh Dr. Umar Al-Qadri from the Irish Muslim Peace and Integration Council proclaimed
at the demo. Abdul’s father said the family had received a lot of support since the
incident. The majority of locals were horrified to hear this happened in their area. The
street was quickly stickered with slogans by anti-racists/anti-fascists. Most people have
been shocked and disgusted to hear what happened. There's no doubt many more people would
have attended the demonstration if it had been more widely publicised. The family say they
haven't suffered anything like this before and their experience in Ireland has been
generally positive.
Abdul addressed the crowd, saying 'I can't believe there are so many people here'. One of
his uncles said (in an interview) 'I saw all the people come together. It has made me so
happy that all these people are here to support me and my family'. Many people shook the
hands of the Ahmadzai family and offered words of support.
Eileen Flynn of the Irish Traveller Movement said that the incident was more even tragic
given their story '[as refugees] running from fear, coming to Ireland for safety ... it's
making me very sad'.
There were several other speakers, from the European Network Against Racism (ENAR), People
Before Profit, Sinn Féin, and Gary Daly (migrants' rights/anti-racist activist). The crowd
consisted of non-activist locals and activists and campaigners from several groups (such
as the Workers Solidarity Movement, éirígí, Anti-Austerity Alliance, Anti-Racism Network,
Islamic Cultural Centre, Dublin Council of Trade Unions) and none.
Future
Despite, in one way, the assault not being representative of Ireland, in another it is, as
such racist violence doesn't come out of nowhere . It is reflective of the spread of
xenophobic, and in particular Islamophobic, ideology and hence hatred across Ireland and
the rest of Europe. And with this grave attack, and similar violence in other countries,
in mind we must do our best to halt the spread of this poison.

“böse und gemein“ is a queer-feminist and all-grrrlz concert-booking-collective from
Dresden, Germany. It is a friendly collective that is open for cooperation and new
participants. ---- Our feminism does not exclude anyone, nor is it focused on one specific
gender. Together, we aim to overcome the restricting and discriminating norms of biologism
and gender, as well as the word gender itself – to us, genders are genitals; what you make
out of your own identity is entirely up to you! ---- Irrespective of our demand to
overcome the matter of gender as a construct of power preservation by specific groups, the
reality is that we live in a society in which women* and men* make different experiences.
It is for that reason that we have made it our goal to strengthen female positions on
stage and to emphasise them throughout our concerts. We are not excluding anyone; we are
simply changing the focus.
Machoism, degradation of femininity (not bound to genitals), boyz-clubs and tough
atmospheres at concerts are utterly unpleasant and in no way enjoyable. Therefore, it is
time to shift the focus and to try something different.
We believe feminism means to take actions and offer alternatives. Our idea of
queer-feminism contains the creation of open spaces where everyone can be how and whomever
they are or would like to be – beyond the boundaries of any form of norm or standard. To
us, being queer means the emancipation from stereotypical images and conceptions, to get
creative and to explore our identity/ies.
We are tired of the taking over of spaces by a certain privileged group – thus, we are
aiming to create and offer new spaces.
Punk-positive.
To us, punk means self-empowerment, DIY, imagination and energy. It has nothing to do with
a certain style or music genre – punk comes from within. The demands on inclusive feminism
and the idea of gender and identity have changed since riot grrrl. However, the question
of power that riot grrrl raised (and answered) within the (cis) male dominated scene still
remains. Not much has changed. We want to create new open spaces through the link between
feminism and punk – on and off the stage. Through being carried away by music, community
and energy – collectively sweating, breathing, shouting and dancing. It needs more effort
to create a lasting effect on and change in the atmosphere of a concert than to state “no
sexism” in your Facebook event.
Let’s do this!
Queers in love at the end of the world.

If the labor law affects each and all wage earners, rail transport workers confront
"their" reform, just as bad ... ---- Railway Act, passed in 2014 despite a two week
national strike of railway workers and railway workers[1], spent the bursting of the SNCF,
preparing crossing a new milestone in the privatization of the sector, and finally
proposed to repeal Decree regulating the working time! ---- One of the stated aims of the
law is to reach a "rapprochement" of labor regulations applicable to SNCF with that of
private operators. To achieve this, employers and government agreed on a stack of rules
that would replace the current regulations: a "decree floor" at a minimum completed a new
collective agreement and finally the rail potential business agreements ...
The publication of the draft decree pedestal February 18 set fire to the powder and
precipitated the mobilization: annual working hours, working range, number of rest days or
weekend scheduling work days ... the draft Decree attack the working conditions of railway
workers and railway workers on all fronts! Faced with this project experienced as a
provocation by the railway workers, the strike call federations CGT, SUD-Rail, CFDT and
Unsa March 9 had a very controlling mobilization in many services.
A convergence of struggles necessary
This unprecedented mobilization to SNCF for years also provided, which is rare, mobilize
wage earners of private railway companies in the same movement (whether private law
subsidiaries of the SNCF group or other rail operators) and reconnect with rallies,
pickets and meetings of strikers. Several general assemblies have passed motions in favor
of the rapid construction of a renewable strike from inter national strike of 31 March.
The convergence of sectoral demands of railway and railway workers with the opposition
movement to work bill is obvious: to impose the negotiation of a collective agreement in
the railway sector to replace the historic legislation, and at the same time implement the
law which already allows derogate through company agreements, it was daring!
While many of mobilization deadlines were announced throughout the month of March, the
combative union teams have attempted to use this period to popularize the slogan of
renewed strike.
We must convince the majority of workers in the rail that it's time to go, both for not
letting endorse a decree braderait our working conditions but also to oppose major
regressions for the whole world of work!

The anarcho-syndicalist Initiative Rosinante welcomes thousands of demonstrators / mation
of strike concentration of 8 th May at Syntagma Square, as well as their / its multiple /
ies strikers across the country. Welcomes in particular the presence of several hundred
refugees marched on the side of workers, through the block of busy Refugee City Plaza
Housing Area. The massification of social movement in a direction class and
internationalist and strike anticapitalist orientation, away from parliamentary and
governmental illusions is only real opportunity to answer the brutal assault of Capital,
which continues uninterrupted regardless of whether it governs the left or the right.
This piece of barbarism is the last night openly murderous attack by riot police of the
left against our block and total of the strike demonstration. Completely unprovoked
assault the uniformed battalions attacked the crowd by launching tear gas and stun -
grenades in a straight shot.
Three of the grenades and two by tear fell upon the comrades and comrades of AP Rosinante,
causing burns. Seven people from our block were injured and suffered deep burns and three
among them had to servers in the hospital. The rage of the left gendarmes continued to
attack the world of blocks using batons while in human psychological paroxysm time, man
riot police began beating furiously with his club the canvas of our banners. Other
colleagues of course, more calm and practical, hitting protesters and demonstrators in the
hands and head, causing in turn receding injuries and wounds. Corresponding injuries
agonists / mation by straight shots murderous police were in other parts of the
demonstration. Injury protester from tear the head, shows that only by luck we had tragic
events yesterday.
The orgy of state authoritarianism and repression continued in hospitals, where
plainclothes officers, harassed them / the wounded to prevent them to make a statement
about the circumstances under which they were beaten and indicate whether they want the
criminal proceedings against the police, but also by leaving.
It is not from our side of course be represented their amazed and surprised not to speak
of "unprecedented" events. The heavy hand of repression the left we met last July when our
block had received a corresponding attack -from motor segments police then- while
parliament voted the first left memorandum. The intentions of the government are
experiencing daily in the increasingly shrinking our labor rights and incomes. The left
sensitivity is found every day in the camps for refugees and migrants / Ries sown
throughout Greece and application of racist Euro-Turkish agreement of shame. We know that
whatever mask you wear, the state is the executive committee the ruling class. Well know
that the one and imagines himself Allende, actually will be whether Pinochet should follow
hard enforcement Fund policies.
We know well the left and right "Darius". Not afraid of them. Not scare us. We know from
both left and right-wing political servants of Capital. We are here to deal with them and
we are committed and determined to do it until the end. Yesterday's orgy of state violence
of the murderers in uniform, it is just a proof that this government is unable to convince
the society that works for the benefit of.
The anarcho-syndicalist Initiative Rosinante invites / the workers / s and / the
unemployed / s, young people and all oppressed / or to strengthen the ranks of social
confrontation, enhance the effort to revive the militant, libertarian and anticapitalist
unionism, to establish a large solidarity movement and contamination with refugees.
Our tear left frightened as our horrified and right: no. The power of the oppressors was
and will always and only our fear. Let the beat to create a society without poverty,
without sedation and without exploitation.
SOLIDARITY will win.

PS1: The announcement of SYRIZA and the youth condemning police violence and calls for the
democratization of the security forces, we consider that part of the campaign of the party
for the legalization of soft drugs.
PS2: The announcement of the Police Department, on the other, which speaks of "limited use
tear gas" and a "light traffic policy State injury" the evening hospitals of Athens filled
protesters with heavy burns and cops that prevented them from doing deposits, probably
entered into a new campaign for the legalization of hard drugs.

AGAINST STATE AND capitalist barbarity
The frontal attack of the state and the bosses and the constant introduction of new
burdensome conditions of exploitation and oppression express overall violent restructuring
of the state and the capitalist mode of societal organization.
The current political management of power, has undertaken both seamless continuation of
submission policies and impoverishment of society and the restoration of the regime in
crisis conditions, promising a capitalism with a human face while aiming at neutralizing
resistances through kapilefsi, the assimilation and integration.
ORGANIZATION AND STRUGGLE FOR SOCIAL REVOLUTION AND THE ANARCHY libertarian communism
From our side, the side of the unemployed, the workers, the poor, the plebs, the story of
our social and class struggles shows that proletarians are not expecting anything from the
institutions, parliaments, elections, bureaucratic union leaderships , their hope traders
and intermediaries of the class struggle.
They have to earn it is a result of the broad, organized on the base, militant and radical
struggles. Only the total subversion of the state and capitalism, social expropriation of
wealth that we ourselves produce and sucks a caste of rulers and the social revolution for
a new common ownership society, solidarity and freedom can vindicate their aspirations and
actual social needs oppressed and exploited.
