LESVOS/CHIOS DEPORTATIONS TO TURKEY
The first deportation in cooperation with Frontex took place on Monday 4.4.from Lesvos and Chios to Dikili.
The UNHCR anouced the next day that probably among them where persons who wanted and had aplied for asylum

2 DEPORTEES TRY TO COMIT SUICIDE /ONE DEAD Turkey:
information in soial media say that 2 Pakistani people among the deported ones, tried to comit suicide in the camp in turkey. One of them died.
The information is still not spread since people try to check it again and since the censorship in turkey is working...
We ask anyone having the possibility to confirm this horible news to do it .

NO ASYLUM INSIDE MORIA FOR AFGHAN JOUNG MAN:
An afghan joung man detained in Moria wrote a touching letter describing his situation and tries to tell the greek police inside the detention that he wants to aply for asylum and they just tell him no and scream at him. Even with the help of the UNHCR it was impossible for him to tell his wish to get asylum his family members are all in sweden and he asks for lawyer inside moria to suport him his letter has become public through social media.

FRIDAY NEXT DEPORTATION:
The deportations dued to take place Tuesday 5.4. and Wedsneday 6.4. where porsponed due to the fact that most concerned persons asked for asylum in lesvos.
The greek goverment plansthe next deportation coming friday.

After many refugees went out of the detention VIAL and are camping in the port.
Only the ones that have the possibility to aply for asylum are „willing“ to return to detention.

PIREUS TO BE „PEACEFULLY“ EVICTED Pireus port the authorities anounce their plan to empty the port till coming weekend. They started a media campaign agianst the solidarity people pretentding that they advice people not to enter the buses that should bring them to the camps all over greece. Maybe they dont know that even people brought far north returned on their own to Pireus . That families get separated entering the buses, due to missing informations to the people where they are brought to. For one more time, the ones that stay by the side of the refugees for weeks with all kinds of suport, medical care, food, lawyers, and presence that makes them feel not being totaly alone, get criminalised from the state .

DEMONSTRATIONS AGAINST EU_TURKEY DEAL:
For the weekend two demonstrations are planned in Athens one on Saturday in Victoria square for freedom of movement and against the EU-Turkey deal
Another one in the Port of Pireus on Sunday infront of the frontex /coastguard /ministery, building which is among the port camps e1 and stone house.
ASYLUM PROCEDURE/FAMILY REUNIFICATION/
The asylum procedure is totaly not working , people are obliged to get an apointment per skype!! which is only (IN-)possible two days a week for two hours , but nobody has acces.
So thousends of vulnerable people are blocked and obliged to stay in the Port or Idomeni hoping rather for an unknown solution.
Every second person has family in another european country, could aply for family reunification, if the asylum system would work. Without asylum request no acces to family reunification so thousends of people who could get further in other european countries, are stuck in greece only because the system doest work. There are also no housing programms for this thousands of people , but only for the relocation candidates.
The goverment anounced yeasterday fast track asylum offices inside the camps that should start in some weeks and will only work for one month.
This is maybe their solution for convicing the people to enter the (up to now) open camps, made mainly by the army all over Greece.
Access to this „open camps“ is difficult till inpossible and their is big fear that as soon as all people will get into them ,they will get to be closed.
The main demands now are:
Access to Asylum!
Housing for all!
Freedom of movement!
Solidarity structures on the side of the refugees!
NO DEPORTATIONS!
