this artikel was published yesterday in greek media and i think the
numbers mentioned here are interesting to spread.
"From the first weekend of April Frontex has in Lesvos:
159 oficers to "acompany" deportees to Turkey.
32 screeners
19 translators
6 specialists for false dokuments (for recognising...)
66 borderguards for taking fingerprints
also to Chios many other oficers are send so that the total amount is
900 frontex people!
among them are 50 french CRS , in Chios 22 policeman from France and 50
other oficers from france.
Also oficers from Germany,Holland, Bulgraia, portugal,Lithauen,
Esthonia, Luxemburg. they stay for 6 weeks and will then be replaced.
Ewa Moncure the representative of Frontex told the media that members of
Frontex are aloud to make controls in the streets and take refugees to
detention. they have 2 Vans with special cameras and 8 police frontex
cars in Lesvos.
While the ones due to acompany deportees have nothing to do (happily)
the ones wroking inside Moria detention are busy working in two
conatiners to make the screening and Eurodac SIS registration.
on the same time 32 EASO workers are in Moria to suport the asylum
procedures.
