There are more than forty years, the Moroccan monarchy launched the Green March to annex
Western Sahara, despite the resistance of the Saharawi independence. Fifteen authors have
joined forces to let the world know the struggle of the last colonized country in Africa.
---- Fight in the Sahara. From colonialism to independence in Western Sahara is a book
that disturbs. Fifteen authors relate a look at a territory colonized by Morocco with the
consent of the French state. ---- "It is time for the international community to act to
stop the criminal Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara, writes Noam Chomsky in the
preface to the Sahrawis enjoy their rights to self-determination and freedom for which
they have fought courageously for many years, in terrible conflict. "

Western Sahara: a simple piece of desert?

Little is known, but the Western Sahara was in November 2010, one of the starting points
of the Arab Spring, with the huge gathering of El Aiun , violently repressed by the
Moroccan army.

This ancient land of northwest Africa suffered a hundred years of Spanish colonization
before the current occupation by Morocco.

As in Palestine, the monarchy has built a "wall of shame" 2,720 kilometers long , guarded
by tens of thousands of soldiers to stifle dissent and prevent guerrilla attacks of the
Polisario Front.

How international law is he positioned, and how is it enforced?
How an occupation she extends for 40 years in silence?
Why the exploitation of natural resources is she located the source of the status quo?
Where are the human rights and how to transform the traditionally nomadic culture of the
Saharawi people?
Why the false neutrality of the French State?
Fifteen specialists, direct witnesses and actors respond to these questions.

During the months of January and March 2016 Libertarian militants Gesta met to discuss the
current stage of the class struggle and a critical review of our political history and the
history of anarchism in the territory of Chile. The result of such days is what we provide
workers and revolutionaries in order to encourage political debate and establish ourselves
as a political alternative of anarchism, in a combat weapon of the working class, to
defeat those who identify as our enemies: Capitalism, the State and the Patriarchate. ----
The history of our tradition has been marked by vacillation, absenteeism and lack of
strategic clarity to address the central question that every revolutionary must answer:
How do the revolution? . Different currents, concepts and categories, multiple divisions
within anarchism mainly on the organic form that should take our movement- failed to
prevent the tragic outcome: Anarchism during the twentieth century was defeated and
condemned by history as almost to extinction political alternative, being banished from
the political imagination of the working class.

This grim scenario has as its central diagnosis the eclecticism of our tradition with
regard to defining the core elements, as well as highlight the social formations of
capitalist society, the centrality of a revolutionary subject, the clear identification of
the enemy and finally the role of political struggle and how to place our revolutionary
action in the present moment to stimulate the social forces of the working class and
overcome the capitalist society.

However, late last century and the dawn of the new millennium, anarchism has re-emerged as
radical critique of bourgeois society hand in hand with the resounding failure of real
socialism, disarmament of the left and its co-optation by the margins of bourgeois
counterrevolution, the dismantling of the working class as a historical subject in the
context of economic and productive reordering of capitalism called neoliberalism.

The bourgeoisie has destroyed the organization of our class, it has co-opted ideologically
and has built a consumer society that has made the revolution one blurred and distant
image, constituting a consensus that we are in the final stages of the history and human
progress is possible only in the narrow confines of capitalism.

But just a quick glance to realize the strong inequalities in human society, the brutal
exploitation of workers around the world, the devastation of our ecosystem, depletion of
natural resources, the wrenching reality of thousands of people displaced by imperialist
wars, marginalization, procrastination and subjugation of women in patriarchal society
even in the present, hunger and poverty to which more than half of the world's population
are subject. This shows us the fallacy of the claim "that human society is in a
progressive escalation to improve their material conditions." The end of history is only a
bourgeois invention to convince the immutable of his domination.

The capitalist crisis we are facing-the ruling elites that have used to even more
precarious material conditions of the working class by eliminating social rights and
raising the costs of life-has opened a new favorable political and social stage for the
re-articulation working class as a historical subject, for the emergence of a
revolutionary political project capable of radically transforming capitalist society and
make way for a new stage in the history of mankind.

Chile is no stranger to the international stage. Massive student demonstrations that since
2006 have maintained a continuous presence on the political scene, have managed to put
into question the basis of the model of consumption and market paradigms that
neoliberalism has imposed blood and fire as the only alternative social organization and
economic possible. In that discontent have added sections of the working population since
2007 have maintained a continuous escalation of conflicts that while still in the protest
area and is far from articulate a political alternative capable of competing hegemony to
block the power, shows a favorable scenario for the rearmament of our class from different
social conflicts, often confronted with bureaucratic caste of trade unions and have
managed to install on the public agenda new sectors regroup to consolidate as lobbyists.
An example of this we have the mass mobilization of workers in basic education, state
workers, port, forestry, copper workers and others whose mobilization methods far exceed
the dictatorial legality imposed by the labor code.

Entrepreneurs and their political puppets, involved in corruption and disrepute, have come
to face this scenario looking slow transformations from the street has been shaping;
seeking to co-opt our demands as free education or decent work, the right to strike and
effective trade union organization reforms only maintain the slogans to denature its
content and even offer less favorable conditions to the existing ones, using as an excuse
the economic crisis and stagnation increase. The ruling elites are also reaffirming the
class character of the state and political institutions with a legislative agenda that
seeks to strengthen the repressive apparatus to disarm and disband all expressions of
social and political struggle of our people throughout the territory. The bourgeoisie
seeks by all means keep your waste and your life of privilege at the expense of subjecting
workers and to all people even more precarious material conditions.

In this political, social and economic context it is that, as Libertarian Gesta, we have
confirmed our revolutionary commitment to sustain our struggle uncompromising and
unwavering character to conquer a society Communist Anarchic through a revolutionary
process to defeat the State, Capitalism and Patriarchy - historical enemies of the working
class to the establishment of a social system based on self - management of wealth and
self - control workers called Libertarian Socialism . Objective in this period will
require that our efforts are aimed at strengthening the mass organizations of the working
class to take the political initiative in the revolutionary offensive against the bourgeoisie.

Our Congress has adopted a central definition, the working class is the revolutionary
subject, in whom we place our hope of emancipation of humanity. Therefore our strategic
centrality is strengthening the characteristics of the working class so that these are
able to give the political leap and assume the task of opening the revolutionary road to
socialism libertarian organizations. Our task is that the working class can articulate a
revolutionary social force that allows play to the bourgeoisie the hegemonic control of
society from their own autonomous and horizontal organizations, opposing bourgeois
democracy popular democracy can become the base material of the revolutionary offensive.
This popular democracy, which is opposed to democracy privileges and minorities, which is
basic, horizontal and organizations of the people against the bureaucratic and political
classes of the state, which is the germ of the future society that we long to conquer and
build, is only possible through political dispute reformism and the bourgeoisie at all
levels of political life, from the generated social movements from economic and democratic
struggles to make the leap to the political struggle of workers for libertarian socialism
, to dispute the bourgeois state political and economic control of the company, to defeat
him and take him down with bourgeois rule.

As Gesta Libertaria we have ratified our political position on the historical trend of
anarchist communism, because the tasks that we propose are only possible from a political
program that reflects the aspirations of justice, equality and freedom oriented
revolutionary struggle from our libertarian political practice. We must know equip the
working class fighting tools like action and direct democracy, understanding them as
effective ways to propose an effective fight against the Bourgeoisie, Patriarchy and
Capital. Today more than a radical critique is never required to the way the revolutionary
left has faced political tasks of the working class. A revolutionary practice that knows
not clearly identify that the only radical transformation is one that undermines,
historical, anthropological, economic and political domination, social bases lacks a
strategic and consistent perspective eradicate that which allows the proletariat living in
postponement, subject to produce the comfort of a privileged minority at the expense of
their own existence. Our political struggle is unsustainable if not accompanied by a
political practice that at present is capable of generating bonds of solidarity and
support that make us see human beings as equals, as the horizontality of social relations
can not be just a future aspiration, this is a permanent task and articulated at all times
of the revolutionary struggle.

Our Congress has decided to take a central part of our revolutionary and anarchist
struggle to defeat patriarchy in all plans of social relations practice, commitment to
articulate within the workers, the oppressed and marginalized spaces fight to empower
women, to different sexual and gender affective identities after adding them to active
combat class as a whole to overthrow this whole network that defends the current system of
domination, we become part of the call for male identities to resign their privileges and
support to the policies and struggles of women and different sexual identities whose goal
is to conquer their emancipation from the domination of patriarchy. It is the aim of our
congress to promote a new form of relationships and personal allowing the emergence of
human, egalitarian and solidarity ties that is the support of the unity of the struggles
of the working class, which radically question the way the bourgeoisie and patriarchy
wants us to live our lives and our affections.
As anarchists we consider in the fight for the liberation of oppressed peoples-nations
under colonial rule territories. This oppression is manifested in different ways in the
Chilean region: from the theft and historical use of the land to the Mapuche, Pehuenche
and huilliches communities (among others), militarization and raids on communities
Wallmapu, the cold - blooded murder of tens of peñis in the territory, usufruct and
plunder of the land by large forestry companies and large landholdings, marginalization
and insecurity Mapuche / huilliche people. As well as cultural level there is a systematic
way of life denial, their customs, their language and identity; trying to assimilate them
into blood, fire and lies to the "chilenidad", both Mapuche communities and communities
Aymara and Rapanui (among others).

Against this it is necessary to join demands immediate return of lands stolen by the large
estates and large forest, demilitarization of the territory and the release of dozens of
peñis and lagmien imprisoned by the colonial state; as well as move towards autonomy and
self-government Wallmapu, to a decolonization process which includes the rescue and
dissemination of mapudungun (for centuries marginalized and condemned to extinction) as
language, as well as the rescue of culture and identity original towns

The aim of the working class to take in their hands the fight to emancipate themselves
from their chains requires generating a critical, political and collective subject capable
of taking on this mission. Class consciousness-that say the same clarity of society we
want to establish and against identifying our enemies in such task- for anarchists is
generated and made cross from Education. We view education as a combat weapon of the
working class that can generate this political subject able to contribute to the
reorganization of the proletariat into a revolutionary social force. That's why in the
present historical moment have decided to contest the social movement for education in
order to build a strategy to be the weapon to generate awareness and tools to our people,
to win their freedom and make educational spaces Education articulators spaces in the
working class.

Our programmatic task is to raise the educational project of the working class in order to
give substance to the objective to establish education as a weapon. For us as anarchists
education can stimulate the emergence of class consciousness, fighting authority and the
establishment of critical subjects able to establish itself as a collective body, whose
purpose is to raise its own historical project of emancipation. The Education Project
Working Class aims on the one hand to provide a programmatic dimension to Education United
Front and represents around a concrete plan of struggle that allows displace the
educational project of the bourgeoisie and the market. It also aims to create networks
with other sectors of the working class to articulate a joint struggle capable of
stressing the capitalist system. Ultimately must rest in an exercise of self - development
policy that allows workers to deliver the experience to lift other exercises political
development that converge in the articulation of a historic political project Libertarian
Socialist Workers character.

The political task in establishing this educational project is to articulate an
Educational united front that articulates education workers, university, secondary and
technical training centers students to generate a democratic social force capable of
winning the economic demands and that various social movements in the educational arena
have been demanding in recent years. The aim of the United Front Education is to establish
a social force capable of uniting the various efforts and struggles, to unite to the bases
of the various guilds and be a practical experience of unity of the class, materializing
through a political dynamic stream allowing workers to contest the petty bourgeoisie the
citizenist orientation of social movement education, to take democratic control and are
able to self - manage schools to place at the service of the people.

We reaffirm our conviction that only the organization can consolidate a revolutionary and
transformative political practice and that only the political struggle can stimulate and
modify the current conditions for revolutionaries return to insert ourselves in the minds
of the working class in this war against a system that We condemn us to death to join in
the titanic task to overthrow a system that far exceeds us in many ways and that only the
struggle of workers and workers organized nationally and internationally can get. For this
purpose we converge different partners and we organize, we aim to be a contribution to the
recomposition of political and social organizations of the working class. Humbly we affirm
that no revolutionary power, nor any self-proclaimed vanguard by decree may believe that
their political practice is the only viable option to make socialism possible. Anarchists,
emerged as a concrete experience, lock ourselves in our view an inalienable ethical and
political commitment, principles and values that acquire meaning in our aspiration to
organize society federative manner and under direct democracy. But libertarians and
libertarian must be critical with abstract ideologisms. Putting their own flags on the
real needs of all the masses and socialist struggle is a mistake that can throw us to
isolate ourselves and let go of the concrete social reality that we are committed to
radically transform.

In this way we open invite you to be part of this organization to everyone who struggle to
radically transform our society as necessary and urgent; the historic task of building a
political and revolutionary project of the working class and to end all forms of
humiliation and injustice suffered by our people. The Gesta Libertaria is at the service
of this historic goal stating that in the frames of society It presents the bourgeoisie is
not possible that our aspirations for justice are developed . At a time when the entire
planet mobilizations of workers, where hundreds of people are displaced by imperialist
wars, where every day the poverty and misery condemned to death thousands of human beings
rise, this congress is calling to us active part of the struggles of the working class, to
raise the international solidarity of our class, to join the revolutionary efforts to win
victory, to work for anarchism emerge politically as an alternative of the exploited and
oppressed to establish itself as an alternative to succeed.

Anarchists in struggle we remember that nothing is more cruel than the truth, then nothing
is fairer than the revolution nothing more necessary than freedom!

We recently organized a weekly event called " Party of Equality ", between 6 and 13 March
2016 [in Kamuning - QC]. This event had activities in solidarity with the celebration of
the month of women. We had discussion and presentation of the book "Anarca-feminist in the
Philippines," and also did art exhibitions, film sessions, share skills, workshops, free
sales, Food Not Bombs [a group of independent collectives, serving vegan and vegetarian
food free to others] and presentation of dances. ---- The book "Anarca-feminist in the
Philippines" was made by three groups, the Mobile Anarchist School Project [collective
that helps people to rebuild their homes and communities after environmental disasters or
social unrest], who helped conceptualize and carry out the project book; the Die Media
[public communications], who did the research for the study of the subject; and Etniko
Bandit Infoshop [autonomous space that serves as a distribution point of anarchist
information], who printed and published the book in English.

Now the Etniko Bandit Infoshop is selling the book to raise funds for new printing and
future expenses / other initiatives. So if anyone is interested in supporting and buy a
book edition, we thank.

To purchase a copy, please contact us by e-mail: etnikobandido [@] riseup.net

While the country has a still critical social situation, a major political crisis
following the recent parliamentary elections and repression of the social movement who
invents legal contours with the now infamous gag law (ley mordaza), times are tough the
land of Cervantes. A brief overview of the current social and political beyond the
Pyrenees with Hector Martinez, a libertarian activist group, social and trade union Action
internationalist (Assi) of the city of Zaragoza in Aragon. ---- Alternative Libertaire:
What dresses do you balance the last election, in December 2015, in the Spanish state?
---- Hector Martinez: Parliamentary elections redesigned the balance of the Spanish
political scene. The Constitution of 1978 (after the Moncloa Pacts) had created an
electoral model that surdimensionnait the weight of rural Spain, few naturally prone to
change. This fact amplified the idea of a form of stability with, in effect, two parties
(the Popular Party, PP, conservative and deeply reactionary, and the Socialist Party,
PSOE) who invariably succeeded to power.

The last elections have changed the situation as to pose an almost unprecedented situation
since the Second Republic in the 1930s Namely: the emergence of new political forces and
now four parties in governing capacity. Or rather cogouverner because in fact, to be able
to form a government with a parliamentary majority, these parties must find ways to unite.

The problem therefore lies in their ability to find common ground to form the
parliamentary majority. An alliance between the PP and its natural ally, Ciudadanos (C's)
- liberal right who based his campaign primarily on the fight against corruption - as an
alliance between the PSOE and Podemos, no guarantee any of these two alliances a
sufficiently comfortable majority. And therein lies the rub. The most complicated
situation returns, undeniably, the PSOE, which has the most to lose whatever the case:

PP and PSOE alliance, called their vows by the EU and Germany would cause a repetition of
the experience of PASOK in Greece, with the swipe of a large part of the Socialist
electorate to Podemos;
PP and C's Alliance with the support of the PSOE would have the same result;
A PSOE Alliance and Podemos would be possible in case of support of Communists of
Izquierda Unida (IU) and the Catalan parties. A nearly impossible option. The PSOE is
diametrically opposed to any claim Catalanist.
In this deadlock situation, new elections could be convened in the coming months if no
parliamentary majority was formed. In this case, the polls are, already, as unfavorable to
put Podemos Socialists and the PP ahead of voting intentions.

For many people, including in the Iberian libertarian movement, Podemos appears as an
alternative. What do you think?

Hector Martinez: People of diverse and varied ideologies see in Podemos a salvation. Many
members and supporters of libertarian organizations, anarchists, anarcho-syndicalists, or
middle squats seem to have forgotten the basic political questions as whether state and
the market would not be part of the same reality indissoluble, s' they would not be two
sides of the same coin that can not be separated. The state and its institutions are a
secondary regulator mechanism of the system from which nothing can be done against the market.

Podemos is a specialist in electoral marketing, they are very good at that. With speeches
on: the regulation of financial markets, the eradication of tax havens, redistributive
measures, a basic income support for small business, they were able to lead, capitalizing
and dismantle the social fabric which was established in Spain, in particular through the
movement of the Indignant, fruit discontent produced by the economic crisis.

cc Gmmr3
Podemos offers nothing other than a return to a kind of capitalism idealized 1960s,
without taking into account the fact that no political alternative is available through
the state or its institutions without it has previously been validated by the market.

Why the parties, whatever it may be, are doomed to move within the range of adjustments
that the machine market is willing to accept, while justifying the "realism", "practical
sense" or the eternal catchphrase "lesser evil" future betrayal of their principles.

Mariano Rajoy, the leader of the government repeated before the elections, the social
situation in Spain has improved in recent months. What is it really?

Hector Martinez: What is certain is that there is an improvement in macroeconomic data.
Spanish GDP growth has recovered and businesses have recovered a profit margin. Mainly it
is due to external factors or to Spain to cyclical issues such as declining oil prices,
the depreciation of the euro, the repurchase of part of the debt by the ECB or the
insecurity of Mediterranean other tourist destinations. And the truce that has given
Brussels Rajoy reduction in the pace of deficit, so that he could win the election,
contributes to stability.

Public services have suffered severe deterioration, the public sector has lost 155,000
jobs since 2010. In public health, these are 24,000 job cuts and in non-university
education, there are 23,000 people in less.

Social protection has been greatly reduced: the amount of compensation unemployment was
down also 10% and 55% of unemployed people receive no benefit. The dependence of law is
not respected and systematically reduced. For the amount of pensions, 56% of them are
below the poverty line, and one must also add the latest reforms of the PP and PSOE, still
running, which reduce by almost half.

The labor market has lost 3 million jobs and the workforce was reduced to 500 000 people.
The latest reforms of the labor PP and PSOE, together with the dismantling of collective
bargaining and minimum wage freeze (655 euros), caused the increase in temporary
employment rates, part-time work and a significant decrease wages.

In this context, what is the response of the social and trade union movement?

Hector Martinez: The worst of all is that this past year, there has been no social
movement and union magnitude. In 2010, 2011, there was general dissatisfaction, many
people saw that although they were good citizens and have done what the system told them
to do, well nothing meets their expectations. Gradually, this discontent is organized
around specific interest groups outside of institutions. Which led in 2012 and 2013
frequent mobilizations, through the phenomenon of Mareas particular. In many cases, the
expectations of these groups or these mobilizations did not go further than the desire to
return to 2007.

With the European elections in May 2014 started a long electoral cycle of a year and a
half, which ended with general elections. During this period, participation in social
movements decreased to postpone the elections. What the government of Rajoy could not do
because of fear, it is the other parties did by selling false hopes. And in this way, the
claims go through the institutional channels, which is tolerable for the market.

Compared to the implementation of the gag law, which are the last cases of repression
against activists of social resistance?

Hector Martinez: I personally do not like the term "gag law" because I think it ill
defines the character of the reforms to which it refers. True, it increases the economic
repression, the repression of social protest and reinforces impunity and the "discretion"
of the police but above all it creates a profound reform of the criminal code that goes
well beyond.

This penal reform introduced the permanent barely adjustable, that is to say, an
indeterminate sentence which implies the introduction of life imprisonment in Spain. In
broad outline, it toughens criminal penalties, strengthens the protection of private
property, promotes the expulsion of immigrant-es, establishes security measures based on
the dangerousness of the subject and not on the crime committed, double the sentences of
offenses against intellectual property ...

We could summarize this reform as a shield elite facing the situation of misery produced
and face collective action or social protest. Regarding the cases of repression, we must
emphasize the ridiculous attempt by the government to revive the fear of anarchist
terrorism. An attempt to build from scratch an enemy that does not exist and especially
not worried person. December 16, 2014, the Pandora operation against the Catalan
libertarian movement has started. Searches of social centers were conducted and among the
activists, which resulted in the arrest of nine people accused of "criminal conspiracy for
terrorist purposes". Three months later, the Piñata operation took place by establishing
control of social centers and the arrest thirty-nine activists in the country.

In conclusion?

Hector Martinez: We, collectives and organizations that do not play the game of elections
must continue our political work always, preserving areas as electoral machines have
succeeded in perverting, or destroy empty and wish that everyone these comrades seduced,
again, the idea that a party can ensure the salvation of the people, disillusioned and
return to real politics. One that can not be done only outside the institutions.
