In 2006 and in the years that followed, the extent of the mobilisations of educated youth
had many social factors, such as job insecurity and uncertainties facing the professional
future. These factors have strengthened since and yet struggles in youth have greatly
mitigated. What perspectives drawn? We learned today the 2006 movement? ---- The struggle
of the Spring 2006 owes much to the "active minorities" who were able to play their role
of politicization and animation. But the scale of mobilization can be explained by social
factors. Facs of the social sciences and high schools joined in the struggle of science
facs and IUT, traditionally less mobilized. Besides denouncing the CPE, a myriad of claims
have been advanced in the AG: against the reduction of posts for Teachers recruitment
competition, for better study conditions, against casualization.
It is mostly children and middle classes, whose chances of upward mobility through
education were reduced in a sustainable context destabilization of their societies, who
have mobilized es. Given the precariousness of employment (temporary contracts, part-time
...), reduction of recruitment in the public service, likely resulted from their
formations, and a stronger academic competition (the degree remains a vector central
employment but more is needed, evidenced by the evolution of competition in education
where we must now apply for grad school grad 5 against 3 previously).
Behind every reform produced by capitalists, in 2006 and beyond, is emerging ever more
gloomy fate for millions of (future es) workers who make up the educated youth.
Receding struggles
And if the 2006 movement already belonged to another time? One where youth emmerdait the
National Front and where any threat to its future caused a mobilization. The struggles in
youth are in decline since the early 2010s Worse, the far right is on the rise among young
people. In the universities, struggles, local, turn empty and any prospect of "miss
classes" turns to tragedy. Fear for the future leads to demobilization reflexes where it
produced the opposite. This is the ratio of ideological forces changed in many campus
where it is not so easy to be "left" when studying sociology or history.
Afresh bases
This implies to adapt. Out myths and routine patterns of action. We forget that the facs
most mobilized in the late 2000s, as Rennes 2 or Toulouse 2, control unions had built
fieldwork patient: Student defense, local mobilization, establishment of solidarity. This
work has probably counted more than the logic of ideological statement disconnected from
any practice we find more and more today. There will be no solidarity without struggle.
To re-mobilization of reflexes must be rebuilt on the spot study of solidarity tools at
all levels (individual aid, festive and cultural solidarity) in a reconquest of logic. It
is on this ground that the threat of unemployment becoming pregnant stop driving the
downturn and the temptation of the worst.

wage theft Jimmy's hospitality ---- The Solidarity Federation today escalated it's
campaign against wage thieves Jimmy's Restaurants, with a picket by the South London local
of their Wimbledon restaurant. ---- Jimmy's owe their former workers in Brighton £1,500 in
holiday pay and have failed to provide the workers with P45s or pay income tax to the HMRC
(despite tax being taken from their pay!) The manager of the Brighton branch has refused
to engage with SolFed when confronted with this, insisting it is the responsibility of
head office who never answer our calls and emails. ---- In response to this and following
successful pickets in Brighton and Bath we today picketed the Wimbledon restaurant,
handing out 240 flyers to let passers by know that the company engaged in wage theft. We
received a positive response from those we talked to, with previous customers telling us
they would not be eating at Jimmy's in the future.
Our message to Jimmy's Restaurants is that we will not be going away, and that if they
continue to fail to pay their workers there will be many further pickets to come. Stop
wage theft at Jimmy's Restaurants!

We who sign this text as collectives struggling in practice for the self-management, as
work collectives, declare that in this way Robin Wood workers are not alone. When you hit
one of us, you hit us all. We support with all the strength of our solidarity the struggle
of Robin Wood. Self-management for us is not empty words and promises from above, but a
road of struggle of those of the bottom for a life with dignity here and now and a vision
for an emancipated society. A society and a world of freedom, justice and dignity. ---- "A
whisper runs the planet. A whisper that another working place is possible: work without
bosses. So difficult, so simple.” ---- In the times we live our resistance can not be
reduced to a NO and the denouncement of those barbaric policies that destroying our lives.
Strait away after this resounding NO we need and we can create those conditions that will
allow us not only hope for a better future but to a life with dignity to now.
In creating these conditions, conditions of a life which is not delivered to misery and
depression by the unemployment and resignation, have moved during the last three months,
the Robin Wood. Workers in a thriving until 2009 timber factory in Imathia (Northern
Greece), saw their lives destroyed in the years of crisis. Unpaid for five years started a
fight claiming the obvious: work to live. Neither the boss nor the system, nor any
government could or wanted to offer this course.
So since January 2016 they moved went to a retention and occupation of the factory with
the aim of self-management of production. Inspired by hundreds of examples of
self-management in Argentina, dozens of examples in Europe and VIOME in Greece, they dare,
claiming in practice the ability to live, to open a road: the road of self-management.
In this way they find against them the repressive forces of state and authority. On 21
March, a phenomenal, for the Prefecture of Imathia police operation in the presence of
riot police, prosecutor and bailiff, protecting the interests of a private-supplier
authorized the seizure of raw materials from the factory. Raw materials which rightfully
belonged to the workers since the former company (in which participated as an investor the
particular individual) owed them 700.000 euros.
Judicial decisions defending the interests of an individual against the interests of
workers, are another example of the system slippage towards implementing the most extreme
neoliberal policies.
We demand from the government -that proclaims to all tones their willingness to support
the workers and the "social economy", to prove it in practice and not remain in words.
We who sign this text as collectives struggling in practice for the self-management, as
