It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

Other Than Reading...

Our Spring Break began a day early thanks to ten inches of heavy wet snow. Since we found out Wednesday night, I was able to sleep in on Thursday. Currently we have piles of snow but the roads are clean and dry.

Since I didn't have travel plans, I have been able to do some extra reading and have just been relaxing. For the first time that I recall, I don't have masses of correcting to do this weekend. Next week is the end of the quarter and report cards so I imagine I'll be dealing with late work all week.

I spent a good part of Saturday morning setting up blog posts for May. I have forty-two scheduled posts and five reviews in draft. I have five more books to read - one adult and four YA - that will be on my April calendar but I have finished reading all of my April releases. Most of May on this blog will be devoted to finally posting the reviews for books I read earlier but had to move to make way for review books. I don't plan to accept any more May release books. I have one review book to read and then I want to read some from TBR mountain.

Read Last Week

Dying for a Taste by Leslie Karst was an entertaining cozy complete with recipes. The heroine is a corporate lawyer who disliked her career and finds herself back working in her family's Italian restaurant. When her aunt is murdered and leaves her a restaurant, Sally has to find the murderer while trying to keep her new restaurant operating and still work in her father's restaurant. My review will be posted on April 13.

Cold Girl by RM Greenaway is a gritty police procedural set in the Hazeltons in British Columbia. A local rockabilly star has gone missing and it appears she may have been the latest victim of the Pickup Killer. Told from the viewpoint of the police inspector who has been working on the Pickup Killer case and from the viewpoint of an officer who is trying to rebuild his career after a car accident and a brain injury. My review will be posted on April 14.

'Til Death Do Us Part by Amanda Quick is a Victorian romantic suspense novel complete with obsessions and madmen. It has Quick's signature independent heroine and her match who happens to be an author of popular crime novels. My review will be posted on April 16.

Alliance of Equals by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller is the latest Liaden Universe novel. This was takes place off Surebleak on the Dutiful Passage, on the Uncle's ship, and at Jamiatha's Jumble Stop in the back end of nowhere. My review will be posted on July 2 because the book won't be released until July 5 but I had to read the eARC as soon as it was available.
