In the wake of the meeting of January 30, this time it is in Saint-Denis a single public
meeting is held. ---- After the barbaric attacks in Paris and Saint Denis that we condemn,
Francois Hollande and the government of Manuel Valls want to register the state of
emergency in the Constitution. Under the guise of fighting "terrorism", maintaining a
permanent state of war, a state of emergency poses a serious danger to our democratic
freedoms, individual, social and political democracy. ---- Wanting to deny nationality to
the French-born, is to take the path of a two-tier citizenship. All the French are equal
before the law regardless of their origin. The silence of the President of the Republic,
at the meeting of Parliament on essential state commitment to equal rights, social
justice, the development of public services, against all discriminations and against all
manifestations of racism dramatically increases the feeling of exclusion experienced by a
part of our citizens, particularly in Saint-Denis. It promotes the growing stigma
jeopardizing our will to live together.

We call women and men of this country to remain united and fraternal.

We call for the defense of freedoms because we will prevail in all circumstances our
freedom of information, expression, demonstration and assembly. We will exercise constant
vigilance to ensure that our rights and freedoms are protected and that no one is
discriminated against.

Not the deprivation of nationality project, not a democracy under a state of emergency,
not a constitutional reform imposed without discussion, exploiting the legitimate fear
generated by the attacks.

We do not accept the governance of fear, one that offers no security but which certainly
allows to violate our most basic principles. Thus, activists from the environmental cause
are under house arrest, peace demonstrations are banned, political activists, associations
and trade unionists were arrested, controls facies multiply. We demand the withdrawal of
charges against the activists of social movements and the immediate lifting of the state
of emergency.

Our rejection of this constitutional amendment is absolute. We call on all those who share
another idea of France to manifest it.

We call on parliamentarians to refuse in conscience this intolerable infringement of the
principles of equality and fraternity.

Neonazis attacked Klinika. One person was hurt, others were in danger. Activists assume
there's a link between islamophobic demonstrations that were held today and visited by
thousands of people. Klinika collective is not afraid and is going to continue its
activities. Klinika also calls on people attending such demonstrations to realize whom
they are supporting by doing that. ---- On Saturday February 6th, after demonstrations of
Block against Islam (BPI), Pegida and nationalists lead by Adam B. Bartoš, a group of ~20
neonazi hooligans attacked Autonomous Social Center Klinika in the Žižkov neighborhood of
Prague. It seems that the attack was held by the same group that attacked the pro-refugee
demonstration “Solidarity without borders” with cobble stones and iron bars, and then
people returning from the demonstration on Main Railway Station (Hlavní nádraží). The
attack happened approximately 30 minutes after that group took a tram from Main Railway
Station to Žižkov.

They shouted: “Shut up, you Arab” at a neighbour who noticed their attack and threw stones
and flares that set a part of the Klinika Café to fire. There were about 20 people in the
building at the moment of the attack, stones were thrown to the rooms occupied by people.
One man was hospitalized with a head injury head, some other inhaled smoke.

We can't but notice the obvious connection between today's violence and aggressive moods
that are being awakened in the society by islamophobes and xenophobic politicians.

We want to highlight the fact that this wasn't the first attack when those who were
showing their solidarity with people running away from their country were targeted. Last
week, a man of muslim confession, known for helping refugees, was stabbed in the Vršovice
neighborhood (Prague). It is striking that the Police wasn't able to capture the group
that attacked the demonstration before, that no one of them was arrested and that they
were moving through the city freely throughout the whole the day. “We are not going to be
afraid because of the violence or threats. We are going to continue our solidarity actions
and spread the free alternative spaces. The agression of Czech nationalists seems just
like the agression of fundamentalistic islamic groups whom they claim to fight,” Jakub
Ort, member of the Klinika collective, comments on the situation.

Lydia worked 30 hours for Kinder Sports between the 6th and 22nd of October. Kinder Sports
have repeatedly tried to weasel out of paying Lydia fairly and promptly for the work she
undertook for them. ---- Lydia and South London Solidarity Federation are now calling for
a communications blockade on Twitter against Kinder Sports for unpaid wages. Kinder
Sports, run by Matt Longhurst, provide after-school sports activities and some school
hours provision at locations around Dartford in Kent. ---- Lydia began working for Kinder
Sports on October the 6th as a sports coach for children. The nature of the work meant
that Lydia was often travelling for more than an hour each way in order to undertake a
maximum of four hours work. Lydia was initially happy with this arrangement as she had
been assured that she would be £12 per hour for her work. After working for a week and
struggling with the travel costs Matt offered to pay £20 per week toward Lydia's travel
costs. Lydia continued working until the 22nd of October. After this date she was unable
to get in contact with Matt Longhurst as he continually gave excuses as to why he was
unable to respond to her questions about how much she would be paid and when for the work
already undertaken. Lydia was offered no further work after this date. Lydia initially
expected to be paid on the 30th of October for her work, when she did not receive her pay
Matt Longhurst told her she would be paid on November 24th.
To date, with the exception of the money towards her travel costs, Lydia has not been paid
for the 30 hours work she undertook for Kinder Sports.

Matt Longhurst ignored our initial communication regarding Lydia's wages and when
contacted by phone spun some more yarns about having agreed to pay Lydia £140 once she had
returned a work uniform. We support Lydia in saying this by no means represents fair
remuneration for her work. We ask Matt Longhurst to pay the full £360 for 30 hours worked
at £12 per hour.

Join us and Lydia by tweeting at Matt Longhurst and his business associates demanding that
Kinder Sports pay up the wages that are owed.

While we unusually keep to one update/week, there we sometimes make a mistake and
something slips through the net or something crops up that is spur of the moment. Usually
we have to let it slide due to other commitments or catch up in the next update, but
luckily here we have been able to get to this one in time. ---- We Will Rise: Social Day
and Banner Making ---- Saturday, 13 February at 2 PM – 5 PM ---- Fred Paton Centre, 19
Carrington St, G4 9AJ ---- Come along for free food, music and banner painting all
afternoon. Everyone welcome including kids! ---- After the End Detention Weekend last
summer, the demo at Dungavel Detention Centre in October and the public meeting in
December we will come together again to have a good time and make beautiful banners for
our future protests.

BRING SHEETS AND PAINT IF YOU HAVE!
Money for travel provided.
See you there!

After a year of bond proceeds trial of military service objectors Ruslan Kocáby. ----
Since February continues in Ivano-Frankivsk in western Ukraine lawsuit against the
Ukrainian journalists and military service objectors Ruslana Kocáby. For the first time
trial, also attended by observers from the anti-militarist German Peace Society - United
conscientious objectors (Deutsche Friedensgesellschaft - Vereinigte
KriegsdienstgegnerInnen, DFG-VK). ---- Devetactyricetiletý journalist Ruslan Kocáb was
arrested last year and charged with sedition and preventing the activities of the armed
forces. Last year, before the arrest, he said in a public video-President Porošenkovi for
refusing call-up order and is ready to go to jail because they do not want to shoot at
their fellow citizens. At the same time he urged residents of Ukraine to reject military
service. Kocáb punishable up to fifteen years in prison. During the trial he said he does
not regret what he did.

Cornelia Mannewitz of DFG-VK, who was present at the trial, said: "Ruslan Kocáb impressed
by their firm stance. His arrest is understood as a violation of the human right to
conscientious objection. His call for Ukrainian men that acted like he may not be criminal
in a democratic society. "

Four observers from the DFG-VK organization International Physicians for the Prevention of
Nuclear War (International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, IPPNW) in Ukraine
expressed their solidarity with the accused anti-militarists.

Ukrainian laws take into account the right to conscientious objection, but reserve it only
a few religious minorities. Active soldiers or soldiers in an ambush not even ask about
alternative military service. The punishment for denial of a set of three to five years'
imprisonment. Of course a court hearing is also clear why Kocáb has been accused of
sedition. Many of the sixty-nine prosecution witnesses have so far not arrive to court at all.

Ruslan Kocáb was the only Ukrainian journalist who had received accreditation to the zone
of fighting, but its reporting was not upholding neither separatists nor the Ukrainian
government, while calling for an end to "internecine warfare" and start negotiations.

Kocáb name Ruslana was last year included in the list of imprisoned anti-militarists (
