Some interesting things I learned... San Diego won't permit something so oversize to be transported during weekends due to the high number of drunk drivers.
So trucking suffers delays because drunk drivers! Well, damn, 1st I've heard of that.
Also, it has to hit the road at night, because of less traffic on the freeways

For super loads: Every bridge has to be inspected before and immediately after the load passes, can not pass over any bridge that has any kind of load rating restrictions, has to go over brides at an extremely reduced speed (5 to 10 mph) to minimize impact loads.
