Birthday breakfast and attracting birds this winter.

It was a birthday breakfast for three this morning.
My daughter Allie, her partner Jon & our son-in-law Mike.
Great reason to get together.
I baked them each a pumpkin loaf for coffee time.

The mouse-house smelled heavenly last night :)

The little ones always enjoy getting to see each other. There was lots of talk about Santa comin'.

Son-in-law Mike gets the best cards.

Grandittles Bradley & Riley and DIL Brittany.

Gramps and the wee one, Gwynn.
Breakfast topped off with a fabulous fruit flan. Yum!

"Wishing all three of you a wonderful year ahead."

Back at the mouse-house...

Simon was out again today looking for breakfast and we have our cardinals back at the feeders.
Everything is hungry and bulking up any way they can for the cold weather ahead.

I'll be adding more suet to the feeders tomorrow.

Common birds that eat suet are downy, hairy, red-bellied, and pileated woodpeckers. Chickadees, northern flickers, nuthatches, and starlings are also avid suet eaters. By adding C&S Suet to your wild bird's menu, you will also attract wrens, warblers, thrushes, brown creepers, brown thrashers, and blue jays.

No snow in the forecast this week. Will it be a green Christmas? Let's hope not.

hugs, Deb
