1. updated self-image of the anarchist collective Cologne (de)

We are people from Cologne and the surrounding area, who work for a non-hierarchical and
non-violent society. Here we are well aware that this type of company acts utopian - but
why we should strive for something that does not correspond to our ideas of a just and
liberal world? Our aim is a society of coexistence, in which all people are considered
equal. This can occur only when all forms of domination - has been overcome - as it is
created by the state, nation, religion, patriarchy or property, for example. We look to
achieve self-managed enterprises, syndicates and municipalities as a possible way freedom
from domination. Instead of hierarchical organization, we propose a merger in trade unions
and collectives ago, in which decisions jointly and consensus-based, and always at the
lowest level possible. Representative * inside should be directly selectable and
recallable and have the task of representing the interests of the group - not their own.
The challenge here is that the people themselves must take responsibility for themselves
and their environment. As fewer and fewer people have more and more wealth and the rest
more and more impoverished, it seems clear to us that capitalism can not be the system in
which we can live together peacefully, fairly and freely.
Even the really existing state socialism spawned new ruling. Oppositionists were monitored
and tracked. Therefore, we want the radical approach: the libertarian participatory
socialism "from below". Part of our anarchist lifestyle is advocating against
group-related discrimination, such as racism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, sexism,
speciesism, ageism, Ableismus, Lookismus, homophobia and transphobia. Violence, both
mental and physical, is usually an extreme form of exercising power and we want to live a
non-violent coexistence within our structures.
Since we consider it wrong that people have dominion over other animals, we are fighting
for a world without animals in captivity, hunting or other forms of domination of nonhuman
animals and strive towards a vegan world. Likewise, we are committed to the destruction of
nature. As our group has not existed forever, we want to contribute our ideas and methods
in other libertarian structures. For this purpose, federations are like the AFRR and the
FDA, within which it is easier to organize large campaigns such as the recent protests
against the G7 summit.
We are very interested in discussions with other people, they want to stimulate thought
and motivate to action. And that happy with us: We would like to actively educate
ourselves - in reading circles, lectures and possibly also with trips to interesting
places. However, the focus should be on activism: In rallies, blockades, in domestic or
forest occupations, action camps and direct actions. We employ nonviolent forms of action.
You are welcome.
