SF have once again appeared on the streets of Liverpool after an absence of more than two
years. Recently joined members have moved into the city, and have been in contact with the
Manchester local. ---- So, at the end of last week, SF members from both cities organised
a literature stall and leafletted members of the public. We met with a generally positive
reception from passers by, with one giving us a donation, a few taking additional
literature for their mates and 'Stuff Your Boss' getting its usual amused response. ----
One less favourable response came from a nearby building site manager, who objected that
the city council doesn't allow leafletting. When we explained that we weren't going to
move on for him, he made a great show of phoning the council to get the police on to us.
Anyway, the 'busies' must have been busy and nobody bothered us for the rest of the time
we were there.
We will be back again. For anyone in the Merseyside area interested in SF, you can contact
Manchester SF (see the contact form on the home page) for the time being.

Short video we made 4 days ago in Idomeni at the Greek Macedonian border. In this camp is
are almost no official organizations anymore on site, they left after riots broke out.
That means no food, tents or sleeping bags for the people there. Autonomous cooking crews
are cooking around the clock to provide food, and individuals are helping by distributing
aid stuff they can get of the hands of NGOs who have the supplies but do not dare to hand
them out. ---- Refugees are separated by the police in ‘Iraqi – Syrian -Afghan’ and
‘other’, letting the first group through the border gate at totally unpredicting moments,
like in the middle of the night, without communicating this to anyone. The others are left
there and have no clue what will happen to them. ---- Here they are shouting ‘Open the
border’ and never before has it sounded so very very true to us as at that moment.

In times of misery of the working class and the exception situation facing the unemployed
came from the previous government, the law provides for the operation of shops for 7
Sundays a year, which by decree increasing in 52. - "Defend the Sunday holiday! No shop
not working "was the main slogan of Syriza up before the election. - Nevertheless the
shops will remain open for one more Sunday, 13 December. - As with a number of issues that
would change dramatically with the left government, so it is on the ice. We had no doubt
this development already before the election, let alone now. ---- The government
SYRIZA-ANEL does nothing other than to ensure "labor peace" and to promote "national
unity", a section always orchestrated by the bosses and works in their favor.
Which aims to abolish the Sunday holiday?
The abolition of the Sunday holiday and full flexible working hours is a very important
part of capitalist restructuring has intensified in response to the crisis. At the heart
of this restructuring is labor relations as the factor that is based on the exploitation
of workers, the production of surplus value and ultimately the profits of the capitalists.
It is a measure that will directly benefit mainly the businessmen of the sector of trade
and large shopping centers, that will favor the further accumulation of capital. It is
still yet another attack on labor achievements that opens the way for the further
intensification and aftarchikopoiisi already bad labor relations in accordance with the
prevailing spirit of full commercialization of our lives. To survive capitalism in crisis
should aggressively expand into more and more places where until now had not sufficiently
exploited. The goal is to transform the workers into machines with little labor rights
when they do not work will be tame consumers. That is total conversion of life in a circle
to produce surplus value, consumption goods and capital accumulation. This is the
notorious capitalist development. Anyone who thinks that this attack in his spare time
workers will cease to trade are much mistaken.
The holy alliance of commercialization of our lives
This effort brings together an enlarged front forces each in its own way contributes to
the common goal. The driving force is of course the capitalists and a key lever the
government using the state apparatus acts as trustee of the fund. This course is one of
the basic functions of the state in modern totalitarianism. The role of the judiciary is
also a clear and distinct, and a rough look at the role played in smashing to pieces of
labor rights in recent years does not let the fact on which the decision of the State
Council to cloud the issue. The mainstream media have taken on the role of ideological
vanguard trying to present the Sunday opening of shops as a solution to the crisis and to
advertise as much as possible, at the same time showing any reaction as antisocial and
harmful to workers. Special mention should be made of the chipsterofasistikes free press
tabloids who allegedly apoideologikopoiimeni and aestheticised visual crystallize the
content of social ekfasismou as aggressive neoliberalism. Trade associations in the
majority and they helped in their own way. Initially the tergiversation of "7 Sundays and
not 52," which seemed to not understand that the leadership now belongs to the bourgeois
and not to themselves, and any change in the Sunday holiday will not be staying there but
would sway me everything. After the introduction of institutions that contribute to more
flexible schedules such as the 'White Nights' where workers are forced to work until
midnight to increase turnover. In the 'white nights' they contributed several
municipalities that supported many such efforts, even mayors belonging to the left,
demonstrating its role as left the capital and their potential management system power and
not the power of overturning. Finally, shouting consumers who are willing to preface their
breasts to shop Sunday play the role of useful idiots who do not realize that the complete
abolition of labor rights and will affect them.
The importance of the fight against the abolition of the Sunday holiday
We must not forget the direct impact of the intensification of work in the lives of
workers. At the same time the official unemployment rate is 26% leisure time workers
clipped. The concept of free time shrinks to fit consumption and only much needed rest.
The labor movement needs to understand the issue of free time as the same importance to
the salary, as aspects of the same thing. He must epananoimatodotisei the meaning of free
time outside and against capitalism, a time that employees use to organize their
resistance to capitalist barbarism, create their own culture, to live outside the
sovereignty of the goods. The struggle against the abolition of the Sunday holiday must
beat to give a blow to workers' struggles and to enrich their content.
What to do
The abolition of the Sunday holiday is not just about the shop assistant but all workers.
The strikes of industry associations Sundays are open stores are necessary and should be
supported, but not enough. It is necessary to horizontal coordination wider tracks of our
class, the base unions, labor shapes and collectives that these strikes to obtain
generalized characteristics. In this effort the institutional unionism and defeated
reasonable and practices of a burden, rather than an ally. To win this battle, the road is
one: we must destroy the functioning of the market on Sundays. With massive marches,
dynamic interventions and exclusions shops, sabotage, street closures to create a diverse
movement until you get a decision that our Sundays are not going to give away the world's
goods. On Sundays we'll use them to have fun and talk, to fall in love and to organize the
social revolution that will sweep the world of state and capital and build freedom.

In response to the project "school reorganization" of the government of the state of São
Paulo, which provided, among other measures, the closure of 94 schools, began a process of
struggle and organization of students with the occupation of schools. Starting between 9
and 10 November with the State School Diadema (Diadema - SP) and the State School Fernão
Dias Paes (São Paulo - SP), the process continued with a demonstration sequence and new
occupations, which involved more than 220 schools in less than 20 days and spread in the
capital and other cities in the state. After a series of street actions, which included
marches and public roads twists and suffering massive repression by the government, there
was, in short, a retreat from the enemy.
The PROJECT "SCHOOL REORGANIZATION" AND SCHOOLS OCCUPATIONS
In Brazil, the scrapping of public education is not new. There are even significant
contribution from the federal level to do so, contrary to the myth of "educator homeland"
government Dilma Rousseff (PT). This precarious spans the country, marking states and
municipalities, regardless of acronyms in power.
The state of São Paulo was chosen as the basis for an experience "reorganizativa" proposed
by the government Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB), and should then be extended to other states. The
reorganization proposal has centered on the division of schools in cycles: Basic I, Basic
II and East. The closure of schools is one of the immediate consequences of this proposal.
If held, the school reorganization will have great impact on the lives of many people (for
example, the government talks on the transfer of 340 000 students) and yet, so far has not
been discussed with students, parents, faculty, staff and community.
Those involved will suffer badly, especially with logistical problems and bonds. Students
will have to move further; the cost of school transport should increase; brothers,
relatives and neighbors who go to school together (parents carrying children, older taking
younger) will have their comings and complicated turns; emotional ties between the school
community will be broken.
Other consequences which will contribute to the increase of the education scrapping are:
decrease in investment in this sector, continuation of low wages and poor working
conditions and study, encouraging business management model, fuller classrooms, layoffs
temporary and contract workers (due to the reduction of assigned classes and fewer
schools), more likely to privatization and outsourcing (through public-private
partnerships and other means), less and more precarious evening courses and Youth
Education and Adult.
As if that were not enough, the reorganization of the project, achieved by the newspaper
Estado de Sao Paulo based on the law of access to information, since it was not public,
has been highly criticized by experts, not only by placed reasons, but even the With
regard to its technical aspects.
The more than 200 occupations are led mainly by high school students, who have 15-18
years. They were originally students of the schools would be closed, and have joined
others throughout mobilization. Gaining a lot of support over the past weeks and with the
involvement of different people and organizations beyond the high school and even school
universe occupations show a heroic resistance from students to government reorganization
project. A scenario that was not common at least since the dictatorship, the school
students are protagonists in the student movement.
The occupations are carried out, in general, from the articulation of students, with
support from faculty, staff, etc., and making the educational space. With the gates being
locked by the occupants, schools immediately transform into democratic spaces of struggle.
In virtually all occupations, decisions are made in meetings with the participation of
those directly involved. The hierarchy and subservience, environmental characteristics of
formal schooling, are set aside. So much for the joint occupation and for the
dissemination of information, social networks and technological devices are widely used.
Students remain in makeshift camps in schools, taking care of its maintenance (cleaning,
security etc.) and also your day-to-day, which includes an active schedule with numerous
activities. In addition to lectures and discussions on topics linked more to the world of
formal education they have happened debates, exhibitions, physical activities, leisure and
others. As a few examples of the rich diversity of this busy routine, include: debates
about the revolt of the Chilean Penguins and the Kurdish revolution currently taking place
in Rojava; public lectures on education in Brazil and Sao Paulo; training on gender issues
and feminism; debates about alternative forms of education; alternative media workshops;
conversations with popular movements; circus lessons, dance, theater and multiplayer
games. Outside the gates of schools, other actions have been taken over, markedly marches
through the city and the locking streets and avenues.
OCCUPYING AND RESISTING FROM THE BASE!
From June 2013, we observed a rapid change in the political culture of São Paulo, which
has to understand that policy for the transformation is not made at the ballot box, but in
the streets. The balances that experience are very present in the current political
landscape, ranging from the strengthening of conservative sectors to the emergence and
strengthening of autonomous movements.
On the one hand, in June meant a breakthrough on the right, who showed up with more
virulence and, realizing he was not in low numbers, began to radicalize in discourse and
practice. On the other hand, we understand that there has also been considerable progress
in the people's struggle. We can see this in the radicalization of the latest fighting, as
a strike by dustmen in carnival Rio de Janeiro, a strike by subway workers on the eve of
the World Cup and in 2015, the strike 92 days of the teachers and teachers of São Paulo.
Boasting relevant aspects of the modus operandi of the Movement Free Pass (MPL), central
agent of the June demonstrations, young occupants have prioritized the militant direct
action and sustained an organizational process based on autonomy from parties and the
government, as well as horizontally for decision-making.
The influence of this struggle model has explanation is the presence of militants who
defend the occupations, the groundwork that has been done in recent years, or even by
thorough (albeit often distorted) dissemination of the principles of MPL in context June
2013. Many young people now mobilized were involved and created references in the fight
for the acts against the tariff increase.
The struggle of occupations has been inspiring and reassuring for all people who want a
more egalitarian and libertarian society. The way it has been going on is exemplary.
Through his own experience, schools occupations are critical to both the conservative
right and the bureaucratic ruling and left. And even suffering the effects of war promoted
by the government, with repression and criminalization, as well as the consequences of
media manipulation, students show that there is a way.
If this path is in direct action and autonomy some of its organizational principles, it is
at the same time, a milestone that, pursuant to the Zapatistas, is below and to the left.
That is, it involves a class project, the oppressed, whose horizon to reduce the
differences down to them.
However, this path is not the one that almost all the left has adopted since the 1980s -
the election, trade unions, student bureaucracies and, more recently, supporting the
government. We are talking about a self-organizing way of the oppressed classes, the role
of the base in the struggles of militant direct action, shared decision-making.
On this road of struggle and organization, the occupations of São Paulo just to win a
retreat by the Alckmin government, which announced it will suspend the reorganization and
discuss with the schools the best way to proceed. It is the victory of a battle in the
context of a wider war. It seems unlikely that this retreat really is the beginning of the
reorganization project pileup and the final victory of the movement. It may well be just a
government strategy to demobilize the movement and gain time, advancing in reorganizativo
project further.
Anyway, I understand that this retreat should be celebrated by the move as a victory,
albeit partial, as well as withdrawal of the state education secretary Herman Voorwald,
who stood out in the last period for its hostility to public education and workers in
education.
We must understand that not only the victory against the reorganization is not guaranteed,
but the struggle for education is broader and therefore the fight and the organization
must continue. Occupations generated sparks that ignited a huge fire resistance in Sao
Paulo. Now is not to let this fire go out and try to increase the fire. Keep fighting and
organizing, facing prosecution, defamation and impose other defeats enemies. That the
current movement of occupations and all stakeholders can be added to other sectors in a
transformative project of larger scale! That can contribute directly to a broad popular
power project!
Here we provide all our support to schools occupations. We intend to continue, shoulder to
shoulder, to our work of struggle and organization as well as our constant willingness to
contribute!
We also our full support to the unified tariff that was presented by the Command of
Occupied Schools, in particular: the cancellation of reorganization; no school closures,
room or cycle; a schedule of public discussions to discuss clearly and truthfully the
education system; punishment of police who repressed the protesters; no punishment or
criminalization of parents, students, staff, teachers and supporters of the fight.
We adhere to the act convoked by the command to the next 4th Friday, December 9, in the
range from MASP to 17h! And we take this opportunity to invite all the comrades to join!
Unrestricted solidarity with the occupations!
Fight, create, popular power!

" Freedom is like the morning asleep Some people expect it to arrive, but some are
disclosed and walk at night to catch up. " -- Sub. Insurgente Marcos ---- Something
beautiful that has anarchism is that it is in turn the "anarchism" breaks the barrier and
shows us the singular multiple interpretations and variations of basic principles such as
anti-statism, comprehensive freedom and the fight against all authority; different
economic, political, strategic and even interpretation of concepts slopes. For late
nineteenth century and early twentieth century, the debate revolved around him "day after"
the revolution a communist or collectivist line would be implemented, if unions
autogestionarían companies or other bodies would need to be called -the tips
manufacturing, whether anarchist social revolution should be directly involved in most of
the organs of self-government or find more, including divergent political trends
libertarian thinking. Most of these debates the historical experience itself solved, and
today again brings to the table new discussions on the strategy of anarchism to reach the
social revolution.
For us, after the defeats suffered by anarchism-not only by external repression but also
for showing us powerless to deal with insurrections and revolutionary situations in many
cases it becomes necessary to develop new ways to confront the state and capital, which
have mutated to new formulas of the XXI century: the neoliberal opening, the "minimal
state", the global village and other similar concepts prefabricated, so now more than ever
the libertarian idea to rewrite itself, focusing the debate on the ' as', which leads us
to think different strategies and tactics for different anarchism, this is where we
propose our first premise: the means and objectives in order to build anarchy must raise
of detained manner and thoroughly reviewing the situation, context and correlation of
forces, if not enter to " act by act . " We opted to reject the libertarian orthodoxy to
think that utopia is only possible under structures and organizations wishing to change a
world of millions of people, millions of complexities, of millions of problems; think
anarchism as something more than an abstract distant dream: a coming reality. Here ya go
of our "names" to anarchism than we think: Organized.
Similarly we argue that this utopia is achievable as long as there are conditions to
create it, these are promoted within the class struggle of today. The role of us as
organized anarchists is to be in the front line of the war: it involves hitting headlong
into the social war, so we must be a people and act like one, here's another surname:
Social (or popular if you want say), which in turn gives us a clarity within the broader
anarchist thought that the individual-society relationship as a dialectic in which both
spheres understand arises, as Bakunin said in his very famous phrase " I'm not really free
only when all human beings around me, men and women are equally free ", so we move away
from the individualistic thesis promulgated an eternal struggle between self and society,
being a denial of the other; on the contrary, we understand that the attainment of freedom
is always a collective construction. Our full name: Social Anarchism and organized.
Perhaps someone will say, " Is not sectarianism ?, Playing labels? "and we say, for us,
after the counting of the mistakes made in the past (that do not fit in this text) Is
there not ask to update anarchism to make feasible in the here and now, not only for us
but for our communities and territories ?, and it deserves, as already said organization,
structure and immerse yourself in the class struggle is therefore , to retrieve the
'social vector' that has been neglected, which also involves rejecting other tactics and
strategies, not denying them as legitimate and anarchist proposals, however, opting for a
route itself: social inclusion.
This is how the different expressions organized and libertarian socialists must collect
within it only those militants concerned about raising a political project in view towards
a revolutionary horizon, who beyond thought anarchism as a mere philosophy of life want to
see on the way to be held as an alternative to change the world is beginning in our daily
actions and the way we did with the other. Likewise we believe that the bottom line for
the libertarian must be social inclusion, grassroots work and propaganda at all levels,
still fuels the engine should accelerate the class struggle, why we reject the limited
role of " armed pleasure "[1] which we popularly ends isolating movement or locking us in
the important but not enough work diffusion and agitation, just as we oppose
anti-organizational practices that only seek to paralyze, limit or create division, as the
only way forward is the new world when its members are committed and willingness to
achieve consensus that collective projects are carried out as well as possible, instead of
a liberal bias individualism simply boil down to a few critical sometimes seeks to change,
in the concrete, material reality of the oppressed.
We believe that anarchism popular matrix should be displayed as a libertarian side that
differs from the others by its methods, but in no way should be considered a school
itself, for more than a label is a strategy that characterizes different practice, let's
review: As well it is said, the social and organized anarchism is characterized broadly to
get into the class struggle in a strategic way, but this is nothing new in the history of
our movement, from the principles of Bakunin, Malatesta and Kropotkin in the nineteenth
century claimed the need to form anarchist political structures that do not have to
ideologize the popular movement, however, must be inserted into it and give libertarian
practices, this is the case of the International Alliance of Socialist Democracy was
founded in 1868, antiauthoritarian political organization was not intended to replace the
First International Workers, who looked like a large space that had not explicitly defined
any political tendency.
With the theoretical development of anarchist thought is seen as the very practice of this
one is taking shape, example is the Makhnovichina, Ukrainian revolutionary experience
ranging from 1918-1922, where anarchism away nihilism and self-absorption was promoted
from the Confederation Nabbat organization that never pretended to govern or direct the
revolutionary organs but -soviets Libres promoting self-organization of workers and
peasants through its more militant activists. Similarly we find the strong syndicalist
movement in Western Europe - curiously criticized by the group Delo Truda - especially in
Spain, where a long work in the people's war will bear fruit in the social revolution of
1936, in which anarchists concerned sweep fascism and develop the transformation of
society were in the FAI, where were inserted within the CNT to promote workers'
management, making even the most varied political leanings from left to see the situation
the same overflowed strength of the anarcho-syndicalist center.
To end this little counting we can mention the Uruguayan Anarchist Federation , political
organization that draws on the principles of Bakunin and Malatesta, plus the experience of
the rich Spanish 30's; The FAU insist on the reformulation of the tactics of anarchism,
especially after the violent shaking that Latin America lived by the Cuban Revolution and
events in Dominican Republic, events that lead to the federation to develop a libertarian
praxis that recognizing its long history, should also rewritten and function in
contemporary Latin America and especifismo born, name given to the strategy developed by
the Uruguayan anarchists posed the need for a proper revolutionary group whose main
objective is inserted into the popular movement through broad trends, promoting one
anti-authoritarian praxis.
As we have seen, the social and organized anarchism is not an invention of some group or
theoretical development embodied in a single text, but an accumulation of experiences that
are dynamic according to the time and place where the libertarian idea to go brewing,
these movements " native "show us that there are many ways to build organization, so we
must develop in the here and now anarchism" Creole "that allows us to move forward into
the new counter-society.
(1) Concept introduces insurrectionalism Alfredo Bonanno on the role of violence as a
means and an end, and the Informal Anarchist organization.

NOT WORK ON SUNDAYS, THE PLATES WILL DO TO KAPITALISTES - Seven years after the outbreak
of the global economic crisis and five after the emergence of the Greek area, the
conditions of complete misery and exploitation brought about understandings and loan
agreements with international creditors, continue to grow worse for the vast majority of
society. - Seamless plundering of social assets and acquired intensifies constantly. - The
launch of unemployment soaring, the constant cuts in salaries and pensions, further
deterioration in the health and education system, approaches to criminalization of trade
unionism, the flexibilisation of labor relations, the imposition of new taxes,
privatization of ports ( but also entire regions), auctions of primary residence, plunder
of nature to maximize capital gains and the suppression of those who struggle are some of
the key elements of the class assault in progress and it is now obvious that if not
rebutted directly then they will sweep everything in its destructive wake.
In this treaty, millions of people live below the poverty line, lacking essential goods
for survival (such as shelter, food, heating and electricity), while some, immersed in
hopelessness and despair generated by poverty, driven up to suicide.
SYRIZA, as was expected, continues the same anti-social policies of his predecessors.
Continues its relentless attack on the bottom of this society, imposing increasingly
onerous operating conditions. Frontispiece this increasingly intensified attack is the
restructuring of labor relations, since through this restructuring, the bosses will be
able to maximize their profits. So on labor formulated by the state and the bosses harsh
exploitation of the proletarians with the conquests of the class struggle be leveled
continuously. The wages and starvation wages, layoffs, wage and pension cuts (even
larger), the employer terrorism and the constant blackmail of unemployment (if a claim
something), custom schedules to the needs of the bosses are the factors that make the
current labor reality.
Part of the restructuring of labor relations and of enforcement effort a modern working
medieval forms and the abolition of the Sunday holiday. The effort to abolish the Sunday
holiday was started in 2014 by a law which provided for the operation of commercial 7
Sundays a year. Today 'aristerodexia' coalition SYRIZA-ANEL by decree increases the number
of Sundays that operate shops in 52. Sunday holiday with a variety of topics (such as the
memorandum, immigrant-refugee issue, the mining in the slag) constituted a 'red line' and
election slogan SYRIZA; slogan quenched by the mind of government staffs overnight. The
move of the government is not random, like any other government move. These movements are
made in the context of European integration and is part of a wider government strategy
(and the European Union with which it is aligned) imposing modern working middle ages, to
consolidate the emergency status in society and the establishment of the state opt for
those left over (whether they are unemployed or are immigrants or are drug addicts).
Since the abolition of Sunday closing up wood in strikes and layoffs; by drowning
thousands of immigrants-refugees in the Mediterranean seas and the death of other so many
fences of European border and the government of pogrom in Idomeni; by Memoranda and loan
contracts until the suppression of those who resist; the wars in Syria and Palestine to
the bombings in Turkey and France; it is now obvious brutality is the rule and not the
exception capitalist Treaty. These show the face of capitalism which are bloodthirsty and
ruthless. Let's facing all those who are trying to ftiasidosoun a human.
Faced with the brutal devaluation of our lives, all of us from below, workers, the
unemployed, youth, native and immigrant, knowing our true needs, we have to take life in
our hands, to organize and to fight collectively, self-organized and adiamesolavita, in
every social and workplace, in schools and colleges, workplaces, neighborhoods and
streets, away from any partisan and union influence which inevitably leads to the
weakening and degeneration of the social and class movement.
