On Saturday November 21 we held the Second General Assembly Process Embat Can Batllo, the
Sants district of Barcelona. This meeting has served to bring us up to date with all the
work done during this semester and we could better define the current and future work of
the Organization. And with that, the first question is noteworthy that it remains a
"process" to start being a "organization." ---- By now we have four Regional Chapters: in
Barcelona, Valles Oriental in Vallés Occidental and Bages. These groups are the places
where we have pooled our most active militancy. They are not the only ones, but it is
where we can make a continuous work. In this respect we should add that our organization
we also have a meeting in the field of Education. This year we will work to treat most
areas of intervention. Our intention is that Embat is a social and political actor in the
region.

Finally add that we have adopted as their own protocol on gender violence within the
social movements made by the feminist collective Justa Revolt Sabadell and assume its
guidelines and commitments. We encourage groups to adopt similar protocols. (The protocol
you can read here.)

Protocol for preventing and addressing violence chauvinistic social movements
We share with you the "Protocol for the prevention of violence against women and tackling
social movements," People's Movement of Sabadell (Cross Alta- Arran North Arran
Center-South, Can Capablanca, COS, and Forward Justa Revolt). This protocol is a tool for
guiding intervention in violence against women in the social movements of Sabadell.

The protocol has been drawn from the conclusions of various debates conducted within the
Movement of Popular and Sabadell aims to be a tool for reflection, analysis and
intervention movement to act against sexist violence. In this sense, the protocol is the
result of a collective process, which does not mean this is the end point, but a
continuation of the debate and the work generated by different groups to build spaces of
violence sexist, hopefully exceeding protocol.

Although the main function of the Protocol is to detect situations of sexist violence that
occur in social movements and guide the measures to be taken, also aims to prevent and
raise awareness about gender violence, its various forms and its consequences. In this
direction, we hope that the Protocol can also help you identify and sexist androcentrics
dynamics that occur within social movements and the need to transform (dynamic assemblies,
speeches and image as a movement, internal organization of collective prioritization
certain workspaces, etc.).

So, although we still have much work to do, we are taking steps forward.

We continue sharpening our tools.
