White Dog underestimated the serious nature of digging up the planter which we had moved inside to prevent freezing. She seemed surprised that I was upset at the dirt scattered all over the living room carpet. She was also quite puzzled about my fussing over the plant and dirt clots she had dissected on top of my bed. Mostly, White Dog was mad that I prevented her from chewing the unearthed lily bulbs which I feared might have poisoned her.
While we cleaned up her considerable mess, White Dog napped.
