verba-volant.info: Mytilene, Lesvos: The "Communist" party
building represses occupation by refugees (a-infos-en@ainfos.ca)
On Saturday November 7, 2015 a group of refugees occupied the abandoned old Casa del
Obrero, in Mytilene, the capital of the island of Lesvos building. During the last time
the building, which belongs to the Institute of Employment and does not even have
electricity supply has been improperly used by the "Communist" Party (KKE) for storing
worthless objects and accessories used in his public address concentaciones. ---- After
the occupation of the building, the initiative of refugees and immigrants who had
conducted it made contact with several solidarity, who came to help. A little later a
group of four members of the self-called "Communist" Party came to the building and began
to insult the solidarity and refugees, looking for "a Greek speaking" ... They asked why
refugees came to the occupation of the building and did not ask to be granted, implying
that they had to request this at this game, even though it is making improper use of the
building. They said ... "they planned to" open the building for housing refugees arriving
daily in waves to the island. They then marrcharon the building, taking accessories PA and
leaving the little food they had stored.
Half an hour later the building burst into a person who was drunk. He attacked a refugee
and refugees demanded to leave. Soon he was repelled by the other refugees and solidarity
which at that time were inside the occupied building. When the next day some of the
supportive asked party members "Communist" if that subject was a member of their party,
they said they did not know him.
Tonight some members of this party came to the occupied building and left a cardboard
curasanes for immigrants without ambrago, returned the next morning and took cosigo all
food that had not been consumed by refugees, along with chairs, stoves, kitchen
accessories and everything they found in their path and arasaron. On the same day it came
to building a person who identified himself as a retired member of the House and local
Obrero. He struck up a conversation with some refugees and solidarity, making questions
like "Who are you?" and "What are you doing here?". A little later a group of four members
of the so-called "Communist" Party, and then another group of about ten people, members of
the same party, they wore helmets and had sticks in their hands entered the building. At
first they blocked the entrance and exit of the building, and they took away the banner
acontinuación who had deployed members of the initiative that had made the occupation.
However, the bullies of this party were not limited to this aggression. Abusing the right
to open the meeting entry of occupation had given everyone (except members of NGOs)
building violently threw three refugees, including the one of them who spoke Greek. While
I hicieronclaro this refugee "from now on we take care of (building management)", acting
in an authoritarian manner, consistent with the history and practices of his party and
especially its leadership. One of the subjects who participated in this fascist aggression
was the drunk who a few days before the other members of the party "Communist" swore they
did not know him ...
Refugees and immigrants began to move away the squatters, because they did not feel safe
being nothing under the tutelage of these "patterns" that had just taken in his hands the
management of the building. A little later, several solidarity with refugees went to the
vicinity of the building occupied by the puppets and lackeys of the other party
"Communist". Solidarity began to discuss these subjects who had blocked the entrance to
the building, they shouted various slogans against the role of the party and threw eggs
and garbage at them.
In the video below you can hear some shouted slogans such as "KKE, your sneak Party" and
"People ahead, resistance and struggle, they will betray you again in Várkiza" and
repeated questions of solidarity members of this party, such as where they were when the
fascists made their cool stuff on the island.
The attitude of the party "Communist" in Mytilene no surprise. It is consistent with the
practice of this party and allied parties, which does not leave suppress or dissolve any
fight that can not control or manipulate. This match fight furiously against any
horizontal project and self-organized from below, acting like a pattern, while abusing the
term communism in his speech. In this episode of Mytilene immigrants and refugees who made
the occupation of the abandoned building of the old Casa del Obrero they took a good idea
of how this game conceived solidarity in practice.
