During the weekend 7-8th of November 2015 the Founding Congress of Anarchist Political
Organization was held in Athens. It was the culmination of a pre-conference dialogue that
lasted 2.5 years and was completed in September 2015 with the publication of the draft
statute and the political call to the founding congress. ---- At the Congress the
participants discussed the comments, additions and corrections on the draft of the
statute, the name of the organization and the general understanding of the need to create
an anarchist political organization. ---- "Anarchist Political Organization - Federation
of Collectives" was established with a statute and general direction of the organization.
---- "Anarchist Political Organization has a federal character, it is a federation of
groups that function together in a horizontal structure. It is established on a coherent
and sufficient political agreements between anarchist groups that coexist equally and
which jointly - through collective instruments - shape their common movement on a
pan-hellenic level.
It seeks the creation of a coherent, radical movement. A movement that blocks any attempt
of manipulation and mediation of social and class struggles and efforts to integrate them
into reformism. An organization sets out clearly the issue of the social revolution as the
only realistic way for the oppressed to emancipate themselves from domination; linking
partial struggles with an overall revolutionary project of overturning the state and capital."
We wish the comrades in Greece all the strenght they need to build a strong organization
that will be able to create, support and influence the autonomous revolutionary social
movements.
We hope that we can develop fruitful cooperation between IFA federations and APO in the
future. To learn from eachother, exchange views, experiences and analysis. To build
solidarity and mutual support for our struggles and to build common struggles on the
international level.
"Long live the Social Revolution, the Libertarian Communism and Anarchy!"
