Position of EMBAT after the election 27S (ca, pt)

The elections of September 27 have left a scene of majority support for an independent
state with a rise of Popular Unity Candidates and at the same time, a Spanish identity
channeling the vote to citizens. ---- We understand that most of the country in general
opted for a break, to a greater or lesser extent, the model of an exhausted Spain
freedom-and guarantor of inequality. However, we are far from the breakaway positioning
tasks and as a people we need to address both the situation of erosion of our social and
labor rights, such as the absence of mass and muscle necessary to develop social a
dignified life and free. Tasks through the construction of sovereignty and represent
necessarily the confrontation with authoritarian model of conceiving socio-economic and
classes that benefit. Both manifested favorable to a new "sovereignty" as the Catalan
opting for territorial and political framework of Spain.
It is therefore not enough of a majority to carry out a break in deep social and political
terms. Any unilateral advance in terms of social rights and political freedoms must be
tightly interwoven with a demonstration of people power and majority consent that defend
and abide by it. In this sense, the possibility of confrontation strictly in terms of
identity within the working class can not help in any way to create a scenario of
significant intensification of the levels of confrontation. The forces that defend the
path of confrontation of identities or a supposed "Catalan idiosyncrasy" more efficient
and working out of the political crisis and economic independence present in the field, do
not help to build this majority for sovereignty Popular necessarily should include, but
not exclusively, the right of self-determination of the Catalan people. Only the prospect
of future rights and freedoms over the flags identity can unite this social majority decided.
The ability to be very narrow and contradictory, crack the regime of political and
economic reform born of Franco in 1978, and opening policy, capitalized at social
majorities, should be welcomed from a libertarian perspective.
We believe that the break can only be done from a constituent process from below put the
pillars of new rights and guarantees of political participation. A constituent process
that offers classes to build new instruments sovereignties. Economic sovereignty, food and
energy among others. Faced with this dilemma, we believe that the popular movement as a
whole must press the accelerator to articulate and make Catalonia a country ungovernable
where we can start marked the public policy agenda and impose those collective demands
have majority been frustrated from the power continuously. Disorganization and
fragmentation in which we are currently installed in only benefit those who are better or
worse intentions, but they want to rely on institutional representation.
We must be aware that we are not exactly in the best context to set up and develop a
constituent process that involves an important advance in social emancipation of the
people. Firstly, from a purely material, we are in a peripheral European country with an
economy mainly tertiary sector and in conditions of dependence and servitude regarding the
troika and powers employer. On the other hand, the composition of classes is still
suffering from a lack organizational dispersion. Hence the need to avoid this story
sufficiently settled by which the Catalans have already expressed our will through the
ballot box and now we trust that politicians "do their job". Now more than ever, our
political task should be to dump us entirely on strengthening the organization's
collective social, democratic and independent of classes. Only with this muscle can move
towards social fully developed the achievement of our goals "constituents": democratic
control of the economy, a new working environment free from the power relations that
characterize capitalist enterprises, a new model of housing market out of control,
universal public services under co-management between workers and users, a network of free
municipalities governed from social self-organization and popular power and a
deconstruction of patriarchal relations that cross all aspects of our society.
