Britain, Class War, anti-gentification, OFFICIAL STATEMENT:

The anti-gentification protest, which took place on Sat 26th September in Brick Lane and
Shoreditch, organised by Class War and Fuck Parade was successful in its aim in raising
the issues relating to social cleansing, social aparthied and class inequality in East
London, London and the wider UK. ---- We are angry but not surprised that the media has
chosen to focus and play along with the self-promoting owners of an overpriced gimmick.
---- The party and protest took place at 9pm to ensure daytime shoppers would not be
caught- up in the event. ---- The protest included: local working class people;
campaigners from housing, homelessness, Architects Against Gentrification, grass roots
activists; Reclaim Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Brixton, Squatters Homeless Autonomy, London
Antifascists, and hunt sabs..Some of which brought their family pets who enjoyed the
evening and were not "ripped limb from limb" as the Sloaney owner of Regimental Vintage
Brick Lane claims (lying cunt!).
