She says her very close friend of years got married 8 months ago and since she wasn't in the country as she travelled after their university studies, she couldn't attend. Fast forward to two weeks ago, she finally came to Nigeria to see her now pregnant friend and new husband.
Now, they insisted she stay with them. Here is the issue,her friend's husband has been hitting on her. Telling her he fell in love with her at first sight And wishes she was his wife.
And when she declined in shock and asked him why he thinks she wouldn't tell her friend, he said her friend knows he doesn't love her. She pressured him into marriage etc and if she tells her, her friend would be the one with a broken heart, not him.
He has promised this lady heaven on earth as he is a wealthy man and her friend comes from an average home.
So she contemplated telling her friend but was advised by her own mum not to do it in order not to jeopardise their marriage.
She says what saddens her is, her friend believes this man is the most faithful man on earth and keeps gushing about him.She also encourages him(her husband) to take her out for movies ,to see places etc when she can't go due to her pregnant state.So, she feels it's all the times they spent together without his wife which made him start hitting on her.
I personally (Emeh) have been in this situation years ago.A friend of mine had a boyfriend she loved so dearly. When she introduced me to him and I started visiting them, he started to hit on me. Not one to hold things back, I told her. Even showed her proof of his Facebook messages.
Well, she fell out with me, not him.
In her words "what did you do that made him hit on you? You must have tempted him "
I left them alone and months later, she caught him cheating severally and broke up with him...
So, would you tell your friend their husband or wife is hitting on you or let it go?
She is returning to her base next week. Should she tell her friend and jeopardise their marriage or keep quiet.
