Map of the planned government camp in the jungle
This is a map showing the outline of where the 1500 person container camp will be built in the jungle.
The Joules Ferry day centre is in the east of the map, with the road – Chemin des Dunes – outlined in red. The red outline indicates houses that will be taken out in order to make access for the camp, in addition to those people displaced by building the camp itself.
Construction of the camp is due to begin on Monday 2nd November.
